Longquanyi District is the location of Chengdu Economic and Technological Development Zone, Longquan High-end Manufacturing Functional Zone in Tianfu New District and Chengdu Sino-French Ecological Park. It is the Sino-German intelligent networked automobile demonstration base awarded by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the venue of the 3rd1Summer Universiade, and the "Hometown of Peach in China" officially named by the State Council.
