The Yellow Sea covers an area of 400,000 square kilometers.

The average water depth of the Yellow Sea is 90 meters, and the seabed is relatively flat, most of which are more than 60 meters deep. The maximum water depth is near the northwest side of Jeju Island (245 meters).
The average depth of the East China Sea is 349 meters, and the deepest part is the northeast of Taiwan Province Province (2,322 meters).
Third, geographical location.
The Yellow Sea is the largest marginal sea in the western Pacific Ocean, and it is a semi-closed sea area with an approximate north-south trend. The northwest is bounded by the connecting line between Laotieshan Angle at the southern end of Liaodong Peninsula and Penglai Angle on the northern shore of Shandong Peninsula, and is connected with Bohai Sea. In the south, it is bounded by the connecting line between Qidongzui on the north bank of the Yangtze River estuary in China and the southwest corner of Jeju Island, and is connected with the East China Sea.
The East China Sea is a marginal sea surrounded by Chinese mainland, Taiwan Province Province of China, Korean Peninsula, Kyushu Island and Ryukyu Islands. The northeast is connected with the Sea of Japan through Ma Haixia, and the southwest is connected with the South China Sea through the Taiwan Province Strait.

The main rivers in the Yellow Sea are Huaihe River, Yalu River, Datong River and Han River.
