Even so, however, the army never allowed soldiers to surrender to this country, which is Japan. Why?
During World War II, the Japanese means were known all over the world. They are cruel and evil, and they can do anything to unarmed innocent people, not to mention enemies on the battlefield. Even if they surrendered voluntarily, they tortured the prisoners with all kinds of torture regardless of the restrictions of international treaties.
So American soldiers always cherish their lives when they see such a situation. Even if they die in battle, they dare not surrender like the Japanese army, fearing the same treatment.
In fact, during World War II, the Japanese army violated not only this international treaty. They also shot and killed parachuting pilots, as well as innocent women and children, and even babies. So what good results can they get by surrendering to such people?
