On the 15th and 16th of the first month every year, the Lantern Festival in Wuchuan, Zhanjiang, Guangdong Province is very lively and unique, and the most striking activity is called "Gone with the Wind" by local people.
The word "gone with the wind" does not exist in Ci Hai, but it is the name of Guangdong dialect, which refers to the street activities composed of colorful flag teams, colorful motorcades, Nuo opera modeling teams, suona, song and dance, lion dance teams, dragon dance teams and other different folk art forms on the sleepless festival. Among them, extended imprisonment is an indispensable content and the most representative folk art form. Wuchuan Piaose activity has a history of at least 800 years, and its influence is famous not only in western Guangdong, but also in the whole Southeast Asia. From the historical source, floating color is also the original activity of farmers praying for gods to eliminate disasters and evil spirits, protect health and look forward to a bumper year. Today's Gone with the Wind includes traditional art forms such as dragon and lion dances that can be seen everywhere in China, and the Gone with the Wind Camp, a prison team formed by Chinese in China and even Southeast Asia for Nuo opera. The themes of these Nuo operas are mostly taken from historical allusions, legends and figures, which show the simple and kind farmers' psychology of promoting good and punishing evil, living and working in peace and contentment, praising heroes and lashing the wicked. In recent years, modern civilization and health have been continuously included.
Float parade has another feature. Liucai teams from villages, townships and towns gathered together and crossed the streets one by one to test their level. In the past, many floating color modeling teams were pulled by people or cattle and horses. Now it looks natural and harmonious by cleverly decorating its appearance with motor vehicles. If you don't pay attention, you can't see the shape of the car body.
Under the conscious guidance and transformation of Wuchuan municipal government, floating color activities have become a healthy folk celebration, and farmers have generally accepted the influence of new ideas and new cultures. Every floating color activity is indispensable to publicize family planning, water conservancy, environmental protection, savings and other contents related to farmers.
Behind the activities of Gone with the Wind are a large number of skilled craftsmen, such as those who are good at clay sculpture, makeup and various props. Many of them are artists handed down from generation to generation. Even the children dressed as Nuo opera in Gone with the Wind have been participating since they were a few years old.
The originality of floating color lies in the fact that the modeling movements and combinations of characters in the whole floating color activity are all worn by real people, keeping a posture and movements unchanged. All modeling actions and combinations are welded by steel bars and iron pipes to form the structure needed for modeling, and the actions of characters depend on these steel frames which play a bearing and supporting role. These frames are designed according to the structure of human limbs. When the characters wear clothes, their structural frames are also hidden in the clothes. If you look at them from the outside, you will not notice the supporting steel structure.
Wuchuan City holds a large-scale floating color activity in Meizhen every few years. The route is mainly located in Jiang Xindao (now known as Cultural Island), Sanjiaofu and other major urban areas. There are more than a dozen floating color teams in nearby villages and towns, forming a team about ten miles long, attracting tourists from all over the world. 1998 The floating color in the first month attracted more than 400,000 people from the United States, Mexico and Southeast Asia.
