The origin of Jing surname is:
One is from the descendants of Emperor Yan, whose surname is Geely. Well is one of the sixty-four hexagrams in Zhouyi. It means inexhaustible.
Second, from the surname Ji, after the Duke of Zhou's fourth son, Xing Hou. See Yang Kuan's History of Western Zhou Dynasty. During the Zhou Dynasty, there was a doctor named Jing, whose surname was Jing. See Biography of Mu.
Third, it began in the Spring and Autumn Period, taking the fief name as the surname. During the Spring and Autumn Period, a doctor from the State of Yu was appointed to Jingyi (unknown today), known as Jingbo in history. His descendants took the feudal surname "Jing" as their surname.
Fourth, Jing's surname is the same as Li Bai's. During the Zhou Dynasty, Jiang Ziya established the State of Qi. Among the descendants of Jiang Ziya, some people went to the State of Yu to become big officials, and were named the leader of Jingyi by the monarch of the State of Yu. Also known as the Earl, he is called Jing Bo, the son of Jing Bo, and some of them are surnamed Jing. Jing Bo also has a descendant named Jing Xi. Later, he went to the state of Qin and became a big official. He was appointed as the leader of Baili City by Qin Mugong and renamed as Bailixi. The descendants of balixi also took the fief as their surname, and the generations took balixi as their surname. Therefore, the ancestors of Jing surname and Baili surname are the same.
