The union of a man and a woman is called mating. Some insects are females, and most of them are just males. They gather together to wait for females to appear and mate with them. Some kinds of female insects also rub their front wings to make sounds. Female chirping is a response to male chirping, while male chirping is mainly for courtship and deterrence of competitors.
