Although people are in Lin 'an (Hangzhou), the provincial capital, they love their homeland and go home to reunite with their elders every August 15th. But one year, Shi got home one night on August 16th due to official duties.
At the thought of not sharing happiness with the people, Shi was very upset. Unexpectedly, the people of Mingzhou stayed up all night, waiting for him to come back to celebrate. Since then, the Mid-Autumn Festival on August 16 has become a tradition in Mingzhou, which has continued to this day.
