Qingze County, located in the Northern Zhou Dynasty, about 560 AD, is now located in Dongzhangying, Yuncheng County, Shandong Province. In the fourth year of Emperor Kai of Sui Dynasty (AD 584), Qingze County was changed to wanan county.

In 598, Sui changed wanan county to Yuncheng County. In the second year of God Blessing (905), Yuncheng County was renamed wanan county and was assigned to Yunzhou. During the Five Dynasties (907-960), it belonged to Hou Liang and was transferred to Yunzhou. Liang destroyed, belonging to the late Tang Dynasty, and was transferred to Yunzhou. Wanan county was renamed Yuncheng County.

From 65438 to 0949, Yun Bei County was merged into Yuncheng County, which belonged to Heze District of Plain Province.

1952 withdrew from Pingyuan Province and returned to Shandong Province with Heze District.

1958, Heze area was abolished and changed to Jining area.

1959, Heze area was restored, and Yuncheng also belonged to it.

1967 belongs to Heze area.

It belonged to Heze City in 2000.
