Beijing Aquarium is a huge circular building, like a conch.
The museum is divided into several scenic spots. First of all, it is a "rainforest wonder". The lights are dim, as if the sun is passing through the dense virgin forest. There are swift waterfalls and running water around. The huge stone statues in the original site are mysterious, and there are all kinds of insects and birds calling. It's really a bit like the Amazon jungle explored by Indiana Jones. Many people take pictures here. The stone walls on both sides of the aisle are inlaid with many large aquariums, which contain some freshwater fish, such as silver dragons. This kind of fish has been fried for thousands of dollars in the fish market before. I feel like hairtail. I don't know why it is so popular. Hey, why are there bones in this fish tank? At first glance, it turns out that these one-foot-long fish with yellow stripes are piranhas in South America.
In front is the touch pool, which is a big pool with some things like starfish, sea urchins and abalone.
What attracted me most about Beijing Aquarium was the dolphin show in Hong Kong Ocean Park. Unlike the outdoor dolphin show outside China, this Hong Kong Ocean Park is an indoor fan-shaped "theater" (probably because it is too cold in winter). The ceiling is very high and there are many lights on it. Warm colors will be used in the performance. Although it is also beautiful, I prefer the feeling of sunny outside. In the middle is a big pool and a "stage". The audience is divided into two floors, and it is estimated that one or two thousand people can sit. There are still 20 minutes before the start, and the best seats on the lower floor are full. If you want to sit well, you must enter the venue half an hour in advance. The best position is that the lower audience is slightly left or right, so you can have the best viewing distance and angle. If you are trapped in class as usual, you can only stand aside or sit upstairs in the distance and look out.
Watch sea lions and dolphins perform. Because I have been looking forward to watching the performances of these two kinds of marine animals, and I really want to get close to them and get to know them. There were so many visitors that we waited anxiously for a long time and finally began to perform. First, the dolphins came on. I saw the animal trainer throw a big ball into the water, and then gave the order to let the dolphins head the ball. Dolphins flexibly push the ball up and down. The ball is very high and will catch it accurately when it falls. What a master! More exciting is behind. Several dolphins came out together and carried out this training in droves. There are circles up, down, left and right. These dolphins are simply superb acrobats. They get up from the water and drill up and down. They are vigorous and beautiful! I was dazzled and couldn't help applauding them. My hands are red! Seeing that they were tired from performing, the animal trainer fished the fish out of the bucket and gave it to the dolphins to treat them.
After the dolphin show, sea lions appeared and performed diving. The trainer asked the sea lion to jump into the water from the high platform. The sea lion heard the order of the animal trainer and jumped into the water in a uniform way, splashing beautiful waves in the pond. This reminds me of divers, but sea lions and dolphins are animals. They are smarter than people. I really admire them.
The performance was wonderful, especially when the dolphins came out. Four underwater black image torpedoes rushed out at an alarming speed, came to the center of the pool and jumped at the same time, bringing up a string of glittering and translucent water drops. Hey, it feels ... beautiful. If an animal trainer rides on a dolphin or the dolphin lifts the animal trainer out of the water and sees an animal trainer standing on two dolphins during the performance, then he is really brave.
In addition to the huge aquarium, there is also a submarine tunnel in the aquarium. Visitors can stand on the escalator and pass under the blue artificial seawater. Through the huge curved glass, they can watch beautiful corals and all kinds of exotic and colorful marine life swimming freely overhead. This is really a strange and wonderful feeling. The most interesting thing is the giant ray, with a flat body like a fan and a long tail, which is more than one meter wide. It swims, fans, and is carefree. There is also a performance of divers feeding sharks, which sounds quite thrilling, but the sharks here don't know how many times they are fed a day. It is estimated that they are struggling and have no response to the fish in the diver's hand. I found that both the exhibition hall and the cross-harbour tunnel were illuminated by ultraviolet rays.
There are also three projects: Whale Bay, Shark House and Downstream Water. Whale and Dolphin Bay is a large pool where killer whales and dolphins usually live. There are two big windows on the wall, where you can see killer whales and dolphins swimming around. The Shark House is also a big pool with a huge glass window beside it, which contains all kinds of sharks. The waitress holds a wireless microphone to explain the life habits of various sharks to the audience, and there are some exhibition boards on the surrounding wall to introduce the relevant knowledge of sharks.
After the visit, I felt that this practical activity was too meaningful and more rewarding than sitting in the classroom all the time.
