1, external lightning protection measures and internal lightning protection measures should be considered as a whole, comprehensively planned, and well grounded and equipotential connected. Improve the external lightning protection system of the building where the equipment is located, and install lightning arresters, down conductors and lightning protection grounding nets in accordance with the national standard Code for Lightning Protection Design of Buildings (GB50057-94(2000 edition)). Do a good job in grounding the computer room. According to the national standard "Code for Design of Electronic Computer Rooms" (GB50 174- 1993), AC workplace, DC workplace, safety protection place and lightning protection grounding should adopt a set of grounding devices, and the grounding resistance should be determined according to the minimum requirements. If separate grounding is required, an equipotential grounding connector must be installed between two places.
2. Take multi-level protective measures. The so-called multilevel protection is to weaken the lightning current in different levels according to the principle of electromagnetic compatibility, and install appropriate lightning arresters in the power line entrance distribution cabinet, floor distribution cabinet and computer room entrance distribution box. For UPS with signal or communication interface, in order to prevent lightning wave from being introduced from signal or communication line, corresponding signal arrester must be installed at the interface of signal or communication line. The central content of lightning protection is discharge and balance. Discharge releases lightning current to the ground as much as possible and as far as possible, and blocks it out of the communication system. Equalization is to reduce the potential difference caused by lightning current on conductive objects and prevent the counterattack of lightning current.
3. Pay attention to the installation position of UPS power supply. According to the building zoning method of International Electrotechnical Commission ICE 13 12- 1 (Protection of Lightning Electromagnetic Pulse), the UPS power supply room belongs to LPZ 1 area, so the objects in this area cannot be directly hit by lightning, and the electromagnetic field in this area may be attenuated. That is, UPS power supply should be installed in LPZ 1 area. At the same time, in order to prevent the strong electromagnetic field * generated by lightning current, the UPS power supply should be placed at a certain distance from the wall, and the distance from the down lead of the external wall column reinforcement should be ≥0.83m, that is, the equipment is in a safe area of lightning current magnetic field. The machine shell is shielded and grounded, and the cabinet door is connected to the ground with wires, and the cabinet becomes LPZ2 area.
