The Ten Thousand Buddha Pagoda is also called Flower Arrangement Pagoda, Xinghua Temple Pagoda and Cishi Temple Pagoda (because there was Xinghua Temple in the Song Dynasty and Cishi Temple in the Yuan Dynasty), commonly known as "Mengcheng Brick Pagoda". The Wanfo Pagoda is located in the southeast corner of Mengcheng County, Bozhou City, Anhui Province, and was built in the first year of Song Chongning (1 102). The whole tower is an octagonal 13-story tower with a height of 42.2m, a bottom circumference of 24m and a diameter of 8m. Named after more than 8,000 Buddha statues embedded inside and outside the tower. There is a temple named Xinghua Temple on the east side of the tower, so the earliest tower was named Xinghua Tower. The 10,000-Buddha Pagoda is not very big, but it has a beautiful shape, diverse structures and relatively complete preservation. It is a combination of China's north-south tower-building technology. Since 1977, the cultural relics department has carried out a comprehensive maintenance of the Wanfo Pagoda, reinforced the tower foundation, closed the cracks, repaired the severely damaged Buddha bricks, and installed lightning rods at the top of the tower to restore the original appearance of the tower. 198 1 year, the ten thousand pagodas were included in the dictionary of places of interest in China. In 2006, it was announced by the State Council as the sixth batch of national key cultural relics protection units.
