Haicheng is located at the northern end of Liaodong Peninsula, between east longitude12218' ~12308' and north latitude 40 29' ~ 41'.
Haicheng, located at the northern end of Liaodong Peninsula, is an important strategic node of Shenyang Economic Zone and Liaoning Coastal Economic Zone, and is known as "Bohai Olympic Zone". The whole territory covers an area of 2732 square kilometers.
Haicheng guards the transportation hub in southern Liaoning, Shenyang-Dalian Expressway, Harbin-Dalian High-speed Railway, Medium-long Railway, Heida Highway and Shen Xi Industrial Corridor. Run through the north and south.
Historical evolution of Haicheng;
Haicheng belonged to Fengtian Liaoshen Road in the early years of the Republic of China. In the eighteenth year of the Republic of China (1929), Fengtian was changed to Liaoning Province, and Haicheng County was a first-class county under Liaoning Province. In the 20th year of the Republic of China (193 1), after the Japanese army invaded the northeast, the puppet Manchukuo government changed Liaoning to Fengtian and Haicheng county to Fengtian.
