The difference between fierce steel and stainless steel;

Manganese steel is a kind of high strength steel, which is mainly used to withstand severe working conditions such as impact, extrusion and material wear. The failure mode is mainly wear and partly fracture deformation. Now it is widely used in engine lower guard plate.

Stainless steel is the abbreviation of stainless and acid-resistant steel, and steel or stainless steel resistant to weak corrosive media such as air, steam and water is called stainless steel. Steel resistant to chemical corrosive media (acid, alkali, salt and other chemical corrosion) is called acid-resistant steel.

Stainless steel:

1. Due to different chemical compositions, their corrosion resistance is also different. Ordinary stainless steel is generally not resistant to chemical medium corrosion, and acid-resistant steel is generally stainless. The word "stainless steel" refers not only to one kind of stainless steel, but to 100 kinds of industrial stainless steel, and each developed stainless steel has good performance in its specific application field. The key to success is to find out the purpose first, and then determine the correct steel grade. There are usually only six kinds of steel related to the application field of building construction. They all contain 17 ~ 22% chromium, and the better steel also contains nickel. Adding molybdenum can further improve the atmospheric corrosivity, especially the corrosion resistance to chlorine-containing atmosphere.

2. Stainless steel refers to steel resistant to weak corrosive media such as air, steam and water and chemical corrosive media such as acid, alkali and salt, also known as stainless acid-resistant steel. In practical application, steel resistant to weak corrosive medium is usually called stainless steel, while steel resistant to chemical medium is called acid-resistant steel. Because of the different chemical composition, the former is not necessarily resistant to the corrosion of chemical media, while the latter is generally stainless. The corrosion resistance of stainless steel depends on the alloying elements contained in the steel.

Manganese steel: introduction

1, manganese steel is a kind of high-strength wear-resistant steel, which is mainly used to withstand impact, extrusion and material grinding.

2. Under severe working conditions such as damage, the failure forms are mainly wear and tear, and some are fracture and deformation.

3. Austenitic manganese steel is the main casting wear-resistant steel and wear-resistant steel, and low-alloy steel with proper heat treatment also has good effect under certain conditions, and graphite steel is used for lubrication and friction conditions.

4. Wear-resistant high manganese steel is especially suitable for impact abrasive wear and high-stress grinding abrasive wear, and is often used to manufacture impact-resistant and wear-resistant castings, such as ball mill liner, hammer crusher hammer head, jaw crusher jaw plate, cone crusher mortar wall and crushing wall, excavator bucket teeth and bucket wall, railway turnout, tractor and tank track plate, etc. High manganese steel is also used for bulletproof steel plates and safety steel plates.

5. High manganese steel is a typical wear-resistant steel, and its as-cast structure is austenite plus carbide. After water quenching at 1000℃, the microstructure is transformed into single austenite or austenite with a small amount of carbide, but the toughness is improved, so it is called water toughening treatment.

Extended information 1. Manganese steel: characteristics

1, the most important feature of high manganese steel is that under strong impact and extrusion conditions, the surface layer is rapidly hardened, so that it still maintains the good toughness and plasticity of the central austenite, and the hardened layer has good wear resistance. This is beyond the reach of other materials. However, the wear resistance of high manganese steel is superior only when there are enough conditions to form work hardening, and it is poor in other cases.

2. The typical Mn 17 wear-resistant high manganese steel increases the Mn content on the basis of Mn 13 steel, which improves the stability of austenite and prevents the precipitation of carbides, thus improving the strength and plasticity of the steel, and improving the work hardening ability and wear resistance of the steel. For example, the service life of ZGMn 18 railway forks used in the north is 20%~25% longer than that of ZGMn 13.

Second, stainless steel.

key property

1, solderability

Different uses of products have different requirements for welding performance. A kind of tableware generally does not require welding performance, even including some pot enterprises. However, most products need good welding performance of raw materials, such as second-class tableware, thermos cups, steel pipes, water heaters, water dispensers and so on.

2. Corrosion resistance

Most stainless steel products require good corrosion resistance, such as first-class and second-class tableware, kitchen utensils, water heaters, water dispensers and so on. There are also foreign businessmen who do corrosion resistance tests on products: boil with NACL aqueous solution, pour out the solution after a period of time, wash and dry, and weigh the weight loss to determine the corrosion degree (note: the abrasive cloth or sandpaper contains Fe when the product is polished, which will lead to rust spots on the surface during testing).

3. Polishing performance

In today's society, stainless steel products are generally polished during production, and only a few products, such as water heaters and drinking fountains, do not need polishing. Therefore, this requires that the polishing performance of raw materials is very good. The main factors affecting polishing performance are as follows:

1) Surface defects of raw materials. Such as scratches, pits, pickling, etc.

2) Material problem of raw materials. If the hardness is too low, it will not shine easily during polishing (BQ performance is not good), and if the hardness is too low, orange peel will easily appear on the surface during drawing, which will affect BQ performance. BQ with high hardness has relatively good performance.

3) After deep drawing, small black spots and ribs will appear on the surface of the area with large deformation, which will affect the performance of BQ.
