Lu Yi is located in Huanghuai Plain, in the east of China and Henan Province, at the junction of Henan and Anhui. This is an ancient city with a history of thousands of years. It was called "Bitterness" in the Spring and Autumn Period, and was once called "Bright Road", "True Source", "Guyang" and "Fairy Source" in history. In 1265, it was renamed Lu Yi from Yuan Dynasty, and it has been used ever since. Laozi, a famous philosopher, thinker and founder of Taoist school in the history of China, was born here.
At that time, the ancient city of Central Plains besieged by Japanese invaders was Lu Yi, and the place where the miracle happened was Laojuntai in Luyi County. Laojuntai is said to be the place where Laozi practiced Buddhism. Why all the bombs that landed in other parts of the county exploded, and none of the 13 shells that landed in Laojuntai exploded? Is there really a mysterious force protecting Laojuntai, as the local legend says?
Seeing that none of the thirteen shells exploded, all Japanese artillery were shocked and stopped shelling. It is said that after the Japanese invaders invaded Lu Yi County, they went straight to Laojuntai. They also want to know what this place is and why it stands in the strong artillery fire. When I learned that this was Lao Tzu's hometown, these vicious invaders all bowed down and apologized under the old gentleman's stage. Sixty years later, a Japanese veteran who once shot at Laojuntai came to Lu Yi from Japan. He knelt down in front of the old gentleman, deeply repented, and set up a monument under the old gentleman, engraved in four languages: We wish the people of the world peace.
In Laozi's hometown, there is an ancient and magical legend. There is a beautiful peasant girl. One day, she went to the river to wash clothes. She saw a huge plum floating in the river, so she picked it up and ate it. She was pregnant and gave birth to Lao Zi. Because I was born to a mother who eats plums, my surname is Li and my name is Li Er.
Legend has it that this ancient Laojuntai is the place where Lao Zi became an immortal. After I became an immortal and ascended to heaven, I became a great old gentleman, so this place is called Laojuntai, also known as Saint Sendai.
This is another example. A thousand-year-old pestle tree in front of Laozi's former residence, when rebuilding Laozi's former residence, some people thought it was in the way and advocated cutting it down, but the tree cutter actually cut his leg. Later, the tractor was transferred to pull it down, and the driver's stomach hurt so much that he couldn't move. The pestle tree was finally preserved. According to the local people, this is a magical tree. When something important happens in the world, this kind of pestle tree will spray plumes of purple smoke from the trunk, which is called "purple gas source".
The most precious wealth left by Laozi to the Chinese nation is the famous Tao Te Ching, which is regarded as mysterious by the world.
