1April, 1987, Tianjin Railway Station was completed. The dome originally designed was full of stars with a gold-plated chandelier in the middle. For this purpose, we specially applied for 2 kilograms of gold from the state. 1988 In the spring, when Li Ruihuan, then the mayor of Tianjin, visited Italy, he saw Michelangelo's famous dome painting Genesis in Romasis Ting Church, and immediately decided to modify the plan and create a formal realistic oil painting on the dome of Tianjin Railway Station under construction. Later, Qin Zheng's creative plan "Jingwei Reclamation" was selected.

Tianjin used to be the old course of the Yellow River, a retreat from the sea, and the lower reaches of the Haihe River experienced many vicissitudes. According to legend, the land of Tianjin was reclaimed from the sea by Jingwei.
