Strangely, Titan also has a liquid ocean on its surface, but its ocean is very different from the ocean on our earth. The earth's ocean is full of water, but its ocean is not water, but methane, ammonia and other substances.
Methane is the simplest and most primitive organic matter. We all know that it is the main component of natural gas, and of course it can be burned. So can the methane ocean on Titan be ignited?
Our common combustion phenomenon is generally accompanied by the participation of oxygen, and so is the combustion of natural gas. However, in the atmosphere with little Enceladus, the oxygen content is too small to make methane reach the critical point of combustion. So the methane on Titan won't burn.
Titan also has a thick atmosphere with clouds and rainfall. Although its surface temperature is very low, lightning can occur under some conditions. If the methane ocean on Titan could be ignited, it should have been ignited long ago, but this phenomenon did not happen, which also shows that the methane ocean on Titan does not have the conditions to be ignited.
This is like Jupiter, Saturn and other planets have very high hydrogen concentrations, and the hydrogen content in the upper atmosphere is above 90%. But because the oxygen content on Jupiter and Saturn is very low, it is impossible for relatives on Jupiter and Saturn to ignite.
Let's further assume that Titan's methane ocean is ignited, so what will happen? If methane and oxygen are completely burned, carbon dioxide and water will be generated, just like we use natural gas, and a lot of heat will be released at the same time, so the surface temperature of Titan will rise, but the increase of carbon dioxide will also make the surface pressure of Titan higher.
However, the temperature rise of Titan's atmosphere is only short-lived, and the temperature will still drop after methane combustion. Moreover, the temperature rise of Titan's atmosphere caused by methane combustion is very limited. Titan can't reach the average temperature of the earth, and there won't be a life ecological environment like the earth.
