There are many short buildings in Qatar. Most residential buildings in Qatar have been modernized, and villas and quadrangles have replaced the small mud houses in the past. Houses are single-family, with a small green yard and two floors. The roof has a walled platform, living room, dining room, bedroom and fully equipped kitchen and bathroom, and there is a parking garage outside the house. The structure of public houses where government officials live is similar to that of ordinary people's houses, but the interior decoration and furniture arrangement are quite different. Although modern houses are westernized, Qataris still attach great importance to protecting the cultural customs and architectural styles left by their ancestors. Some people build indoor ceilings in the style of nomadic tents. Most people will plaster the wall and add traditional decoration when carving. People still keep rooms with traditional architectural style or furniture layout.
