This piece is the second symphonic poem in the symphony suite My Motherland by Bedrich Smetana, the father of Czech music. Volta river is a symbol of the Czech nation, equivalent to the Yellow River to the Chinese nation. This is a title audio-visual work, which expresses the author's deep feelings for the motherland and the nation by depicting the river scenery, coastal scenery and humanistic feelings from trickle to surging to mighty. Although the structure of the whole song is loose, the basic theme of the Voltava River is like its soul, which makes it reach the realm of "scattered in shape but not scattered in spirit"
