Taizhou, located in the east of China and the middle of Jiangsu, is an important part of the Yangtze River urban agglomeration. It borders the Yangtze River in the south, Yancheng in the north, Nantong in the east and Yangzhou in the west. It is a land and water gateway connecting the north and the south. It has been known as "land and water gateway, throat according to county" since ancient times. More than 700 years ago, Kyle Poirot traveled to Taizhou and praised "this city is not very big, but it has many kinds of earthly happiness".
