Linshui wine is a traditional famous wine of Han nationality. Known as the Millennium wine country, Huoqiu Linshui ancient town produces it. Liquor-making in Linshui area began in the Tang Dynasty, obviously in the Ming Dynasty, flourished in the Qing Dynasty, and has always enjoyed a good reputation. During the Zhenguan period of the Tang Dynasty, there were dozens of wineries and thousands of residents on the waterfront. And the name "Yuquan on the waterfront" has a beautiful legend. According to legend, Zhu Yuanzhang, the Ming emperor, wandered around Huaixi when he was young, herding cattle for others. A heatstroke patient was dying in the wilderness and was rescued by a village girl named Yu Jie, Ji Lianquan. Later, when Zhu Yuanzhang became emperor, he sent an imperial envoy to Linshui to find a savior. Yu Jie, a village girl, didn't know where to go, so she gave Lian Quan the title of "Saving Spring". Zhu Yuanzhang thought of the source of drinking, so he took the words Yujie and Li Anquan and named Linshui Liquor "Yuquan". In the second year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty (1369), Zhu Yuanzhang gave a grand banquet in the imperial court, taking Linshui wine as a royal tribute.
