Baicaoping is a place where the surrounding Yi, Miao, Han and Hui people rush to spend the fifth day of the fifth lunar month. Flower Street is also called Huashan and Dragon Boat Festival. In Yi language, it is called "Harmonious Wu Ye", in Miao language, it means "two crazy families", and in Chinese, it is also called "Duanyang". On the Dragon Boat Festival, all ethnic groups have different expressions. The Yi people are based on the process of Yin and Yang rising and Yang falling in the Eight Diagrams. Release them in the morning and gather in baicaoping to sing and race horses in the afternoon. Miao nationality means "two crazy families", but actually refers to the struggle between Miao nationality and Sha nationality. The Miao people were defeated and left their hometown. The following year, the soldiers who died in the Ji Dynasty were sacrificed. Originally, it was a festival of grief and indignation, but after moving to settle down, it was called "Huashan Festival", and the Han people commonly called Duanyang. According to legend, it is to commemorate Qu Yuan who cares about the country and people. The customs include eating zongzi and hanging Pu Ge. Hui nationality has no specific significance, but Duanyang Festival is also an important historical event for Hui nationality. During the Xianfeng period of the Qing Dynasty, the Manchu government knew that during the Dragon Boat Festival, the Hui people did not hang the custom of Pu Ge on their doors, while other ethnic groups did, which was easy to identify. Therefore, the Qing government secretly ordered Kunming and other state capitals to launch a massacre of Muslims in the city on this day, marked by whether to hang Pu Ge on the door.
The white lawn is surrounded by generations of Yi and Miao people, with some rich Yi and Miao folk relics and the historical evolution of Wusha.
