Lao Zhao (Zhao Benshan) is a farmer in his fifties. Lao Zhao first disguised Lao Liu as a drunk and got on a long-distance bus, but he met a robber (Degang Guo) on the way.

Lao Zhao swore to protect Liu's compensation, which won the respect of the robbers and saved the property of a busload of people. However, because he exposed his body, the passengers kicked him out of the car instead. As a result, Lao Zhao had to stop a car on the road and pretend that Lao Liu was an emergency patient.
