Dazhu County belongs to Dazhou City, Sichuan Province, which is located in the east of Sichuan Province and the south of Dazhou City. It is the key economic sub-center and urban sub-center of Dazhou City. It is connected to Liangping District and Dianjiang County of Chongqing in the east, Linshui County of Guang 'an City in the south, Guang 'an District and Quxian County in the west and Dachuan District in the north. The territory of Dazhu County belonged to People's Republic of China (PRC) in ancient times. Nanliang Datong was established in the third year (AD 537), and it was established in Dazhu County in the first year of Tang Dynasty (AD 700), which was named after "more bamboos and more bamboos".
