On the occasion of the 57th anniversary of War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression's "Eighth Five-Year Plan" victory, the book "Young Hero Wang Erxiao" written by the famous writer Chen Mo was first published in Wang Erxiao's hometown-Wang Erxiao Hope Primary School in Shangzhuang, Laiyuan County, Hebei Province.
Chen Mo, an old writer who took part in the revolution in Yan 'an period, embarked on a journey to find Wang Erxiao from the spring of 1995. He visited Pingshan, Yixian, Shunping and other places in Hebei with Comrade Guangxu, who served as the Minister of Children's Department of the Youth Rescue Society in the Shanxi-Chahar-Hebei Border Region during the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression period, and finally found the trace of Wang Erxiao in Laiyuan. Zhang Shikui, a retired cadre in Baoding, was a cadre of Laiyuan Youth Rescue Committee during the Anti-Japanese War. In the struggle against "mopping up", Wang Erxiao led the enemy into an ambush and died heroically. He reported to the Youth Rescue Committee of the Border Region. Chen Mo, a writer, visited Laiyuan five times and found Wang Erxiao's sacrificial place-Langyakou Village and his birthplace-Shangzhuang Village. Wang Erxiao was born in 1929, and died in 1942 on September 6th, at the age of 13. After his sacrifice, the local soldiers and civilians buried him on the hillside of Liujiazhuang. Now, his grave is covered with grass. The big stone dyed red by his blood still lies quietly in the ravine. People call it "the bloody stone". Chen Mo's 50,000-word revolutionary traditional documentary novel Wang Erxiao based on these materials was published by Hebei Children's Publishing House in July this year. Comrade Yang Chengwu, an old general who fought bloody battles in Laiyuan area during War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression period, prefaces this book. Shangzhuang Wang Erxiao hopes that primary school students will be the first readers of this book.
