As we all know, the Terracotta Warriors and Horses are rare archaeological excavations in the history of our country. Since the 1970s, there have been many subsequent excavations. With the continuous appearance of terracotta warriors and horses, it also faces many problems. This is why someone once said that "this kind of archaeological excavation was originally a wrong choice, and it can be said that its mistake is no less than the failure of Ming Dingling." In fact, in the face of such a wonder of the world, how would our descendants know if there were no experts to explore it? How can it be recorded in world history?
However, it must be mentioned that in many archaeological excavations, it is very likely that cultural relics will be destroyed because one does not pay attention to or understand the following situation. This is why it is now stipulated that ancient tombs that have not been destroyed cannot be excavated. Only ancient tombs that can't be protected in situ, or those that have been destroyed due to other natural reasons, should be excavated.
Although the excavation of Terracotta Warriors and Horses has not been affected by some external factors, it has added a lot of favorable historical materials for the study of Qin culture through such excavation. But now the soldiers and figures we see are all black, and many people think that this is the reason why black was respected in the Qin Dynasty. After all, at that time, Qin Shihuang's "dragon robe" was mainly black. What is the truth?
In fact, these terracotta warriors and horses had rich colors before they were unearthed, but they were buried in the soil for thousands of years and will be oxidized after being excavated. In the 1980s, the excavation of the third pit of Terracotta Warriors and Horses proved the oxidation mentioned above. So what's going on?
It turned out that after the initial cleaning, the head of the soldier figurine appeared. However, it is impossible for the staff to clean up the whole warrior map in the shortest time. With the passage of time, five minutes later, this colorful warrior figure was oxidized to a black face. The most important thing is that when the face of this ice figurine faded, everyone only took one picture, and the color disappeared after two or three minutes.
This has to be said to be a pity. Later, a soldier statue with a green face was unearthed. This warrior figure is a first-class cultural relic located for us. This is why, at the beginning of the article, we said that such excavation work was a mistake. However, it is still the same sentence. Everything has two sides, and what is gained is bound to be lost. I don't know what you think about this.
