When I arrived in Ningbo, I was attracted by the cold old street on the south bank of Dongqian Lake, and specially arranged a two-day trip of 1 night. In the early hours of the night when tourists dispersed, I felt the old street surrounded by mountains and sat on Dongqian Lake, which was still full of fireworks.
Dongqian Lake, located in the southeast of Ningbo, is an important freshwater lake in Zhejiang Province, surrounded by mountains. Seventy-two streams converge here to form a huge natural reservoir, which plays an important role in regulating the surrounding climate.
During the drought, the floodgates can be opened to irrigate the farmland in Fenghua, Yinxian and Zhenhai, and it is also a freshwater breeding base, so it is also called Wan Jinhu Lake. For Ningbo people, Dongqian Lake is known as the back garden of Ningbo.
On holidays, Dongqian Lake is also a good place for self-driving and leisure in nearby cities. Camping and picnicking on the lawn, the stream by the lake, and even finding a place to watch the water in a daze are very comfortable.
Residents around will catch some small lake fish in the lake, either take them home for food or sell them at the water's edge to supplement their families. The original way of working here is simple and direct.
The road around the lake is beautifully built, with caravan camps, water parks, zoos, tea mountains, stone carving museums and so on. Of course, the favorite is Hanling Old Street.
Hanling Old Street is located on the south bank of Dongqian Lake. At the entrance of the old street, an art museum designed by Japanese architect Wei Yanwu is being built. At present, the building has been capped. It is expected that after half a year, the old street in Hanling will once again set off a wave of punching cards because of this art museum.
The residential buildings in Hanling Old Street retain the architectural style of Jiangnan in Ming and Qing Dynasties. From the appearance, they are in the same strain as the style of Jiangnan water town facing the street, with long walls and white walls.
With thousands of years' history, the Han Mausoleum was once called the Han Mausoleum City, not only because it occupied an important position in waterway transportation, but also because during Wang Anshi's reign in Yin, the Han Mausoleum Village had formed a regular market on Friday and Wednesday. Until the founding of New China, it was still thriving. The "Hanling City" mentioned by ordinary people before refers to the Hanling market, not the city.
In modern times, because of the development of land transportation, the Han Mausoleum, which gained its importance by waterway, gradually declined, was once abandoned and almost forgotten. More than a decade ago, a local private enterprise in Ningbo began to take over the protection and commercial development of ancient villages in Hanling Old Street. Fortunately, today, the Millennium Old Street has finally been reborn.
Two streams pass through the old street, and countless stone bridges connect the two banks in series, which adds to the fun of playing. Taking the stream as the axis, the water street on Hanling basically retains its original pattern. Don't be afraid to get lost. You can always find your way back by following the faint sound of water.
The old street of Hanling is divided into the upper part and the lower part by Taipingchi. In the first half, after the overall commercial transformation, all kinds of shops for eating, drinking and having fun gathered, with white walls and tiles, water town customs, beautiful lattice windows and red maple in the street. Looking back, it is a beautiful scenery.
What surprised me was the second half. The ancient postal road street, hundreds of meters long, is the essence of the Han tombs. What moves me is that after the commercialization of Hanling Old Street, there are still indigenous residents living there.
Although most of them are elderly people, as time goes by, only the old street buildings and experienced people are qualified to represent Hanling. The houses in the ancient street are all two floors, and the special mark left by history can be seen under the eaves. The semi-fence at the entrance, the incense sticks on the doorframe, the ancient ancestral temple and the incense sticks in Pei Jun Temple are the most touching fireworks.
Hanling cigarette factory
It is the first cigarette factory in Ningbo, and it also has an important position in the commercial history of Ningbo. Now the Han Mausoleum still preserves the cigarette factory office building with the architectural style of the early Republic of China.
Brother guard room
The gatehouse of the Jin family is very famous in the Han tombs, but in the eyes of foreigners, it is just an ordinary wooden door building. Actually, it has a lot to say.

Starbucks
Starbucks at the door is a bit good. Chinese antique architecture, light oak veneer, green Starbucks Logo, this is a star dad who looks good both inside and outside.
If you want to experience the true side of Hanling Old Street, you must stay for one night.
There are five accommodations in the old street. The first one is the Jun and Huajiantang at the entrance of the village. In the name of luxury, the price is 1200-2000 yuan a night. The location is convenient, but the disadvantage is that the door is too noisy and there is a square dance at night.
The third home: Shujia Hanling Courtyard, located on the bank of Jianhu Bridge, with streams flowing downstairs. The location is very good, occupying a quiet place. The room rate is about 800- 1200 yuan for one night.
The fourth old persimmon forest, near the inside, is ten minutes' walk from the entrance. It is not easy to drag luggage on the stone road in the old street. The room rate is about 500-one night in 700 yuan.
There is also a youth hostel in Chen Fan. The bed fee for one person is 100, but the yard is obviously much simpler. The old street is about to undergo secondary renovation and development, and there will be more inns and hotels. Everyone has more choices.
There are many interesting places around Dongqian Lake. The two places closest to the Han Mausoleum, Dongfushan Tea Garden and Southern Song Dynasty Stone Carving Museum, can be visited by the way. All the buses in front of the old street have through trains.
Dongfushan Tea Garden Experience
Although there are many snack bars and tea shops in the old street, I recommend several local restaurants: Hanling Shijia, Yuanlong Hanling Restaurant and Hanling Taste. Unlike Ningbo, the price is similar, and the amount of food will be slightly smaller.
Steamed fish, "four treasures of thousands of lakes", and one treasure is "white stripes in the waves" Steamed fish has tender meat, small spines and delicious taste.
Black herring paddling, also known as throwing water, is the common name of fish tail, which refers to the section where the fish tail is connected with the tail fin. Thick fish, thick sauce, super satisfying.
Fried rice cakes, Ningbo rice cakes are delicious, hanling can eat eggplant rice cakes, but glutinous rice cakes are not greasy.
Ningbo Metro Line 4 goes to "Dongqian Lake" station, then transfer to bus 906, 960, 620 and 660, and customize Line 4 1 to reach Hanling.
There is also a parking lot in Hanling Old Street, which is very convenient for self-driving, but there is a queue in the parking lot on holidays.
