The origin of the name Penglai is said to be related to Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty. It is said that in the second year of Yuan Guang in Han Dynasty, Emperor Wu of Han Dynasty, like Qin Shihuang, heard that there were three fairy mountains in the sea, Penglai, Abbot and Yingzhou, and came here to stand on the mountain by the sea and look out. As a result, he didn't see the fairy mountain, but in order to live forever, he ordered the town he built by looking at the mountain and facing the sea to be named Penglai, and Penglai came from this. In fact, Penglai is called a fairyland. I think this is mainly because of a mirage and the Eight Immortals.
Let's start with a mirage. In fact, a mirage is not what people used to call a fairyland, but a phenomenon of air refraction. There are many conditions for the emergence of a mirage. For example, it is most likely to appear at the turn of spring and summer, and it is best to have a sunny afternoon after a rainy day, and the north wind is second or third, with good visibility. Therefore, it is rare to see a mirage now, but Penglai has become one of the most frequent areas in the world because of its unique geographical location and meteorological conditions. Although it only appeared four times in the 1980s, one of them was the longest in history, that is, this time was in1988+June 2007, which was the first time. It is said that this mirage just appeared and completely disappeared, which lasted for five hours on and off. The viewer saw another place completely at sea, and the clearest one was about ten minutes. At that time, Sun Yuping, a reporter from Shandong TV Station, was filming a scenery film in Penglai, and he captured this unforgettable moment. This is why people will buy the video of Mirage in the market. Since the mirage of1August 4, 989, it has never appeared again.
I think everyone has heard the story of the Eight Immortals crossing the sea. In fact, crossing the sea by the Eight Immortals first refers to the escape of eight people. It is said that the house on Ya Dan Hill is used to hold prisoners, but it has a very strange rule that the number of prisoners held every day should not exceed 100. One day, for some reason, there were eight extra people, so the warden ordered the extra eight people to be thrown into the sea and let them die. We all know that everyone has the ability to survive. The eight men tried their best to swim to the opposite island and survived. In fact, there are many stories about the Eight Immortals in Penglai. I believe everyone knows that there is a famous person in the Eight Immortals. Can you name this person? Okay, I'll give you a hint. We often say that a two-part allegorical saying once used him. Yes, it's Lv Dongbin. So will you say this two-part allegorical saying? Yes, it is "the dog bit Lv Dongbin, but he didn't know it was good for people". Everyone knows this allegorical saying, so does anyone know the origin of this allegorical saying? In fact, the origin of this two-part allegorical saying is related to a very interesting story. Tick refers to a person's name, tick refers to drag out an ignoble existence, tick refers to silence. It is said that before Lv Dongbin became immortal, his family was rich, but hooked. One day, a guest named Lin came to the house. Seeing Gou Jian's beauty, he studied hard and told Lv Dongbin that he wanted to betroth his sister to Gou Jian. Lv Dongbin was afraid that it would miss Gou's future, so she politely refused. Unexpectedly, Gou Jian had long heard that this young lady was beautiful, so he asked Lv Dongbin to agree to this marriage. Lv Dongbin had no choice but to say, I promise you can marry this young lady, but you have to promise me one condition, that is, the bride must stay with me for the first three nights after her marriage. Gou Gao never imagined that Lv Dongbin would put forward such a condition. As the saying goes, a friend's wife can't be bullied, not to mention that we are as close as brothers. But he also thought, I eat and live in other people's homes, and even the money needed for marriage is given by others. Alas! I can't help it! So Gou Kun agreed unhappily. From then on, Lv Dongbin began to organize Gou Jian's wedding. In a blink of an eye, Gou Jian and Miss Lin got married. After worshipping heaven and earth, the bride was sent back to her new house. The bride sat on the bed and waited for the groom to lift the red veil. When the groom didn't move, he secretly lifted the red veil. As a result, she saw Lv Dongbin reading under the lamp. The old girl is very shy. The second and third days passed like this. On the fourth day, it was soon Gou Jian's turn to enter the bridal chamber, so he drank some wine and strengthened his courage. He couldn't wait to open the door of the bridal chamber, but when he opened the door of the bridal chamber, he was surprised to find the bride sitting on the bed crying. At this moment, the bride heard someone open the door and thought it was Lv Dongbin. Without looking up, she cried and said, "Why did Mr. Lang do this to me and get married for three nights?" I felt very strange after listening to it. Hey, what happened? As soon as the bride didn't respond, she looked up and thought about how she had changed. So Gou Kun told the story, and the couple wanted to think, and finally understood that Lv Dongbin reminded Gou Kun in this way, even if he got married, don't give up studying. So Gou Gou and his wife secretly made up their minds that if one day they have a bright future, they must repay Lv Dongbin well. Since then, Gou Kun has studied harder than before. Finally, when he was going to be the top scholar this year, he was sent to a distant place to be a local official, so the two families reluctantly left. A few years passed in a blink of an eye, and suddenly one day, Lv Dongbin's home suffered a natural disaster, and Lv Dongbin's home was burned down by an unknown torch. They had to live in a makeshift thatched cottage. Lv Dongbin suddenly remembered the hook of being an official in the distance. He thought: It's better to borrow some money from Gou to rebuild his home. So he said goodbye to his wife and went to Gou Jian for help. When he saw Gou Kun, he told him what happened at home and asked him if he could lend him some money to rebuild his home. Unexpectedly, Gou Kun said, "Brother, we haven't seen each other for a long time. How's this? You stay at my house first. As for borrowing money, I will talk about it later. " Lv Dongbin had no choice but to stay at home after hearing the news. Half a month passed in a blink of an eye, and I ate and lived well at home, but I didn't mention anything about borrowing money. He thought, maybe I have forgotten my kindness to him and don't want to lend me money at all, alas! Don't force others to do it So he left a letter to Gou Jian and left without saying goodbye. When he returned to his home in disappointment, he was surprised to find that three new houses had been built where no tiles were left. He thought, who is this so unreasonable to build a house in my place? So he pushed open the door of the new house in a fit of pique. However, when he opened the door, something even weirder happened: he saw a coffin in the middle of the hall, and his wife knelt beside her and cried. He went over and patted his wife on the shoulder and said, "What's the matter, madam?" His wife looked back, startled and said, "Are you a man or a ghost?" Lv Dongbin said, "I'm fine. Why do you ask? " It was a long time before the wife calmed down and found that it was really her husband. So, he said, "Here's the thing. Shortly after you left, a group of officers and men came to help us build these three new houses without saying anything. I thought it was sent by brother Gou Gou, but just this morning, they sent this coffin, saying that you died of illness at brother Gou's home. So I am crying very sad here. " Lv Dongbin doesn't understand. What medicine is sold in Gougouhulu? Why would he do that? So he and his wife opened the lid of the coffin. It turned out to be full of gold and silver treasures and a letter. Lv Dongbin opened it, and there was a poem in it: Gou Jian is not a heartless man. I sent gold and silver to build a house. You told my wife to keep the room, and I made your wife cry! After reading it, he finally understood that Gou Jian used this method to retaliate against him for leaving his wife vacant for three nights. Since then, the relationship between the two families has been better. Then came this two-part allegorical saying: Lv Dongbin doesn't know how to love (a dog bites Lv Dongbin and doesn't know how to love).
Well, we have entered Penglai, which is located in the northernmost part of Shandong Peninsula. Yantai is a county-level city with a total area of 1200 square kilometers and a population of about 490,000. Penglai is one of the main apple producing areas in Yantai, with the total output of aquatic products ranking first in Yantai and the fifth in gold production in China. Because the sea goods market often appears, it is called fairyland. Well, we have arrived at Penglai Pavilion now. What you see now is the main entrance of Penglai Pavilion, with the words "Penglai on earth" inscribed by Su Shi. The route we visited is the main entrance and the east gate, and we won't go back. You can take pictures here as a souvenir. First of all, what you see is "Ya Dan Wonderland Square". Ya Dan Wonderland was written by Dong Yu when he came here in August 1964. Why is it called "Ya Dan"? That's because the stone on this small cliff where Penglai Pavilion is located is red, so it is called "Ya Dan". Then why should we build a "Ya Dan Wonderland Imitation" in this place? This is mainly because Penglai Pavilion is called "Wonderland", so let's take this square as the boundary. After this square, we can all become immortals, and everyone can take pictures here as a souvenir.
After "Ya Dan Wonderland Square", the door you see now is called "Awakening Gate", and the word "Awakening" refers to the appearance of the queen behind. Before visiting the Tianhou Palace, let's go and see the Dragon Palace next to it. Longwang Temple was built on the top of the mountain during the Zhenguan period of the Tang Dynasty. Song Jiayou moved here in six years. The Dragon Palace you see now was rebuilt by 1984. This is the front hall of the Dragon Palace. These two are the guardians of the Dragon King. This is Dinghai God, and this is Jinghai God. Let's take a look at the Dragon Palace. Now we can see that this is Ao Guang, the Dragon King of the East China Sea, and Ao Guang is the first Dragon King of the Four Seas. Almost all the staff of Dragon Palace worship Ao Guang, the Dragon King of the East China Sea. Why? I'll tell you later. Let's take a look at the eight standing generals on both sides of the Dragon King. Here are: Leigong, Dian Mu, Clairvoyance, Sea Patrol Hag; What about this side? They are: rain god, wind girl, wind ear and fisherman. Ok, let's take a look at the back bedroom of the Dragon King. This is the back bedroom of the Dragon King. The middle is dedicated to the Dragon King and his two concubines. Let's take a look at the fire in this dragon king's hand. We all know that the dragon king can make waves, but he is most afraid of fire, so this fire he owns has become the first of the four dragon kings in the world. In addition, let's see why this dragon king's face is black. I believe we all know that people worship the Dragon King mainly for rain, but when repeated prayers fail, they will carry the statue of the Dragon King to the streets and parade, and onlookers will throw water on the Dragon King. If this still doesn't work, they will expose the statue of the dragon king to the sun. It is said that only the dragon king himself can't stand the sun, so his face will get tanned after a long time. Now you can see that this small temple is a children's temple, which is dedicated in the middle. Needless to say, as we all know, she is flanked by the Queen of Eyes and the Queen of Rash, which are mainly used to eliminate disasters and diseases. Stop looking. It's very deserted now, because there was a serious preference for sons over daughters in China, so this temple is very popular.
What does this theater you see now do? When you see it facing Tianhou Palace, it must be related to Tianhou Empress, because Tianhou Temple Fair is held on the 16th day of the first month every year, and people will invite people to sing in the theater on this day to celebrate Tianhou Empress's birthday. So you can see that there are six symmetrical stones here. What do they do? They were left behind while building the pavilion. I told you before that the stone on this cliff is red. Let's have a look. That's the color. In addition, they are symmetrical left and right and play a decorative role.
This is the front hall of Tianhou Palace. These two are Jiayou and Jiaying respectively. According to legend, they were originally two monsters at sea. Later, after being recovered by Tianhou Niangniang, they willingly helped Tianhou Niangniang guard the door. Now that you have entered the Tianhou Palace, let's take a look at this tree. This is a pagoda tree in the Tang Dynasty. It has a history of 1000 years. Because it has been too long, the middle of this tree has rotted away, even the bark here has rotted away. What you see now is artificial skin grafting. Some people may find it strange. Why does this tree grow so vigorously? It is said that this is a tree planted by a fairy. It is said that Tie Guai Li and Lv Dongbin of the Eight Immortals once played chess here in the scorching sun. They were too hot to stand. Tie Guai Li inserted a branch into the ground and immediately turned it into a big tree to give them shade. Therefore, this tree 1000 years ago is still so vigorous, but it has a feature that it germinates and leaves more than one month later than other trees. This is the middle Tianhou Temple, and this is Tianhou Niangniang, which is called "Mazu" in Fujian and Taiwan provinces. Her common name is Maureen, a native of Putian, Fujian. It is said that she won't cry when she was born, so her parents named her Moline Niang. She is very clever. She was able to recite scriptures at the age of five, and she was very effective at navigation at the age of twelve, so she often helped fishermen kill time at the seaside. It is said that she is very effective and responsive, so this is the most prosperous place in Penglai Pavilion.
Look at this word on the wall. Do you know what this is? Yes, the word "longevity" is just different from ordinary ones. It was written by Chen Tuan, the fifth ancestor of China. It consists of three words, namely "Fu", "Fu" and "Lin", which means that if we want to be rich and live long, we must plant a variety of trees.
Let's take a look at the words "blue sea and red heart" on the wall here. It was written by Mr. Feng Yuxiang, a patriotic general of the Kuomintang. Why did he write the words "blue sea and red heart" here? 193 1 After the September 18th Incident, Japan began to invade China on a large scale. Chiang Kai-shek not only did not advocate anti-Japanese, but also provoked civil war. Feng Yuxiang was held hostage by Chiang Kai-shek and could not participate in the anti-Japanese war. His mood was very low. Li Liejun, another patriotic general in the Kuomintang, invited Feng Yuxiang to visit Penglai in May 1934 to discuss anti-Japanese plans. At that time, Li Liejun wrote a pair of couplets. The first part was: attacking the wrong stone and serving the country wholeheartedly; The bottom line is: picturesque mountains and rivers, all holding Kun with bare hands. Let Feng Yuxiang make a cross-criticism, so Feng Yuxiang began to write the words "Bihai Dan Xin", and later generations carved these four words here to commemorate him.
If you look here again, this is the theme building "Penglai Pavilion", which, together with Yueyang Tower, Yellow Crane Tower and Wangtengting in China, is called the four famous buildings in China. Built in the sixth year of Song Jiayou, the four characters "Penglai Pavilion" were written by Tie Bao, a calligrapher in Qing Dynasty. At present, the first floor is an exhibition of some scenic pictures of Penglai, and the second floor has a drunken wax figure of the Eight Immortals, so you can go up and have a look. This pavilion, named "Shelter Pavilion", was built in the eighth year of Zhengde in Ming Dynasty. The ingenuity of this pavilion is that no matter how windy it is outside, once you enter this pavilion, you won't feel any wind. In fact, only one side of the pavilion has doors and windows, so the air can't form convection and can't feel the wind, so it is called "shelter pavilion". Ok, let's take a look at Penglai Watertown!
