During the Spring Festival holiday, all the scenic spots in Xi are crowded. In order to avoid the crowd, we drove on the road and wanted to find some interesting places around us. Years ago, many counties in Shaanxi announced the withdrawal of counties and the establishment of districts, among which "Fengxiang County" in Baoji also became "Fengxiang District".
I have never been to Fengxiang before, but I have admired it for a long time. I've always wanted to visit the sister lake "East Lake" of Hangzhou West Lake. Just taking advantage of the Spring Festival holiday, I came on a trip. I didn't expect to travel in just one day, but I found Fengxiang, a treasure town, with too many places to play and go!
Fengxiang has a long history. This is Yongzhou, one of the Kyushu in Xia Dynasty, and the birthplace of Zhou and Qin Dynasties, where Qin Shihuang was crowned emperor. Fengxiang is famous for its "three wonders" of Xifu: Donghu Willow, xifeng liquor and Maiden Hand.
"East Lake Willow" refers to the beautiful scenery of willow trees all over the East Lake Scenic Area. "xifeng liquor" is familiar to Shaanxi people. It is one of the eight famous wines in China and also produced in Yu Fengxiang with a history of more than 2,600 years. "Girl hand" refers to Fengxiang's girl dexterity. This land has exquisite folk crafts such as clay sculpture, paper cutting and embroidery, and is also known as the "hometown of folk crafts".
On our trip to go on road trip in Fengxiang, we didn't taste xifeng liquor, but "East Lake Willow" and "Girl's Hand" actually felt it.
I came to Fengxiang on impulse, and I didn't make a detailed strategy beforehand. Direct navigation to "Fengxiang East Lake" scenic spot and get on the expressway. Fengxiang is located in the northeast of Baoji City, about 70 kilometers away from Xi 'an 10, and the driving time is about 2 hours10 minutes. Although the journey is not short, fortunately, several scenic spots in Fengxiang are concentrated together, so there is still plenty of time to go shopping.
Fengxiang has a profound heritage and many scenic spots. We chose three scenic spots: East Lake, Zhoujia Courtyard and Clay Sculpture Village. I enjoyed not only the natural beauty, but also the culture of Xifu, and visited the famous folk handicrafts. After shopping for a long time, I feel that I have gained a lot. Most importantly, these three scenic spots are free and open!
Fengxiang East Lake is the place I have been longing for. As mentioned earlier, it is known as the "sister lake" of Hangzhou West Lake. In fact, the reason is that East Lake, like West Lake, is inextricably linked with Su Shi, a great writer in the Northern Song Dynasty.
Fengxiang East Lake was called "Drinking Fengchi" in ancient times. According to legend, in the first year of Zhou Wenwang, there was a phoenix drinking water here, which was regarded as an auspicious omen, hence the name. In the sixth year of Jiayou in the Northern Song Dynasty (106 1), Su Shi went to Fengxiang and worked as a book signing judge in Fengxiang House-this was his first job in his life.
When Su Shi came to Fengxiang, the ancient "drinking phoenix pool" had become a scene of cross-flow of sewage. Feeling sorry for history, Su Shi began to dredge and expand the pool, drawing fresh water from the Phoenix Spring in the northwest corner of the county, and successively built pavilions such as Gentleman Pavilion, Wangu Pavilion and Xiyu Pavilion, and planted lotus willows around them, and finally built this elegant and unique northern garden-East Lake.
At present, it is early spring, and the willows near East Lake have just sprouted and are green. With the lake light, there is a beautiful scenery.

After visiting the East Lake, we walked to Zhoujia Courtyard in Wentong Lane, only a few minutes away. I didn't know much about it before I came to Zhoujia Courtyard. Just when I saw the scenic spot sign on the roadside, I stopped to find out. I didn't expect it to be a free attraction. Not only can you enjoy the exquisite ancient buildings of Guanzhong quadrangles in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, but you can also see many exhibitions of western culture. I strongly recommend you to visit here.
Fengxiang Courtyard is the residence of Zhou, a businessman in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties, and it is a typical quadrangle building in the north. The preservation area of the whole house is about 2,400 square meters, of which the building area is 1.239 square meters, and there are * * * 15 rooms. Walking in Zhoujia Courtyard, you can feel the beauty of China classical architecture by looking at the architectural layout, three sculptures and couplets.
It is worth mentioning that today's Zhou Jia quadrangles can not only appreciate the ancient buildings, but also feel the charm of Xifu culture. There are also many displays of Xifu folk culture in Zhou Jia Siheyuan, including physical furniture and figure sculptures. It gives visitors a feeling of traveling back to ancient times, which is interesting and fun.

After visiting Zhoujia Courtyard, we drove on the road and arrived at Liu Ying Village in Fengxiang after more than ten minutes. Liu Ying Village is also an ancient village with a long history. Its name comes from the 6th Battalion led by Li Wenzhong, which was stationed here by Zhu Yuanzhang, the Emperor of Ming Dynasty, more than 600 years ago. But what really makes Liu Ying Village famous is that it is the famous "first village of clay sculpture in China".
Fengxiang clay sculpture is a national intangible cultural heritage protection project, and the clay sculpture in Liu Ying Village is the representative of Fengxiang clay sculpture. Many people don't know Liu Ying Village in Fengxiang, but they know that Fengxiang has a "clay village". Now it has also become a rural tourist attraction.
Walking into Liu Ying Village, I feel that every household is a craftsman. Not only can you see a dazzling array of well-made clay sculptures, but you can also see the live display of master craftsmen. We can also walk around and look at them, and finally we go home with a full load.

During the one-day tour, we mainly visited these three scenic spots, and felt that it was very rewarding to play. Of course, there are many places where Fengxiang can play and see, such as Lingshan, Yongzhou Ancient Town and Qin Gong No.1 Tomb. If you have enough time, you can also visit them together.
