Hospitality manners and customs in Daocheng;
1, Xianhada
This is one of the most common ceremonies of Daocheng people, and it is used to show respect and congratulations in welcoming guests, giving gifts, worshipping and daily communication. In social activities such as welcoming guests, worshipping Buddha, visiting relatives and friends, and celebrating their wedding, Tibetan people all use Hada to express their respect or congratulations. At a more grand welcoming ceremony, the host presented Hada to the guests to show respect and good luck, and the guests returned Hada to the host to show their gratitude and pray for all the best.
Step 2 kowtow
This kind of etiquette is mainly seen in temples to offer incense and visit living buddhas. Religious people kowtow to show their loyalty and piety. There are three forms of kowtow: long kowtow, short kowtow and loud kowtow. In Daocheng County, it is common to kowtow short and loud, and to bow down to the Buddha, the living Buddha and the Buddha with both hands crossed.
Step 3 toast and tea
The Tibetan people in Daocheng are warm and sincere, and they are very hospitable to relatives and friends who have nothing to do or don't know. First, the host respects the guests of highland barley wine. When drinking, he first dipped his index finger in the wine, played "Tahide Dele" in the sky three times, and then drank three small bowls of local highland barley wine. This wine is not a low-alcohol wine in a bowl. If the guests can't drink more, they can drink less with the consent of the host to show politeness.
