The competition of "flying" among six cities in Henan Province, which started in 2004, seems to be coming to an end recently.
In 2007, the Development and Reform Commission of Henan Province put on record the major investment projects of transportation facilities, and the reconstruction and expansion projects of Xinyang and Shangqiu military airports were "impressively listed" together with the reconstruction and expansion projects of Luoyang and Nanyang airports.
It seems that Xinyang and Shangqiu will take the lead in the expansion of the Central Plains Airport Group.
In 2004, news came out in Xinyang, Shangqiu, Sanmenxia, Anyang, Zhoukou and Jiaozuo, claiming to build a civil airport. It is understood that the reason why six cities in Henan compete for "flying" is because of a "National Civil Airport Layout Plan" issued by scaa. According to the plan, three airports can be built in Henan province in the future.
However, in the National Civil Airport Layout Plan issued by scaa recently, only Xinyang Minggang was included in the plan.

According to the National Civil Airport Layout Plan issued by SCAA on June 5438+February 2007, there are 39 airports in the Central South Airport Group in 20 15, including 14 newly added airports. Zhongnan Airport Group consists of airports in Guangdong, Guangxi, Hainan, Henan, Hubei and Hunan provinces (autonomous regions). On the basis of the existing 25 airports, Xinyang, Yueyang, Hengyang, Shaodong, Hechi and other 14 airports are added in the layout planning, bringing the total number of airports to 39, so as to meet the needs of economic and social development in Central and South China, and promote economic cooperation in Southeast Asia, economic integration in the Pan-Pearl River Delta region and opening to the outside world.
Therefore, the expanding countries of Zhongyuan Airport Group have long been laid out and the conditions are gradually mature.
"Although at present, the reconstruction of the airport in Henan is of little significance, in the long run, with the gradual formation of a three-dimensional traffic framework, the construction of the airport will have a major impact on strengthening external ties and promoting the core urban agglomerations of the Central Plains and the entire development strategy of Henan." "Fly" the bottleneck first
Although the reconstruction projects of Shangqiu and Xinyang military airports were filed with the Henan Development and Reform Commission, there is only one "Xinyang Minggang" in the national airport layout of scaa.
Therefore, over the past three years, Xinyang City has obtained the condition of "flying" first on the issue of "flying" in six cities in Henan Province.
