For decades, the incense of Qingshan Temple has been broken, and people who come to worship Buddha for blessings are in an endless stream. During the "land reform" and "Cultural Revolution", Qingshan Temple was destroyed as a place of feudal superstition, and monk Hui En disappeared.
Every year, on the eighth day of the fourth lunar month, Buddhists from six cities (counties) to which baishan city belongs go to the existing Jade Emperor Temple in Tonghua to worship Buddha. Due to the crowded ride, traffic jams and casualties are caused, which brings undue losses to the people.
1959 After the establishment of the city, Buddhist believers in baishan city repeatedly asked the people's government for approval to repair the Qingshan Temple stranded during the Cultural Revolution. Until 1990, the religious policy was implemented to meet the requirements of more than 5,000 Buddhist lay people, and more than 400 lay people voluntarily raised 600,000 yuan. Finally, the temple was rebuilt in the former site of the original temple, so that Qingshan Temple could be seen again. After the restoration of Qingshan Temple, with the approval of Badaojiang District People's Government, the incense in the temple was revived and flourished, and the number of people who donated money to Qingshan Temple increased day by day. Over the past eight years, a total of 2.5 million yuan has been raised to improve the Dojo. Zhao Puchu, president of the Buddhist Association of China, wrote an inscription for Qingshan Temple "Daxiong Hall" and sent a telegram to congratulate it when it opened.
Qingshan Temple covers an area of 3,200 square meters, including Daxiong Hall, Guanyin Hall, Tianwang Hall, Dizang Hall, East and West Liao Fang Hall and Buddha Hall. Thirty-five Buddha statues in the temple are lifelike, and the tall open-air Guanyin stone statue and iron casting tripod stand in the courtyard, adding luster to Qingshan Temple.
19961February, a Buddhist congress was held in baishan city, and the baishan city Buddhist Association was established. The president, vice president and secretary general were elected, and Master Xiang Ming, abbot of Qingshan Temple, was the president. 198 After the devastating floods, the Buddhist Association of baishan city actively responded to the call of the government and mobilized lay people to donate more than 4,000 pieces of clothes and 6,000 yuan in cash to the disaster area. Due to the proper management of Qingshan Temple, the quality of monks has been continuously improved, and they are law-abiding, and they have been rated as "Top Ten Temples" by Jilin Buddhist Association.
