Dayi is located in the transition zone from Chengdu Plain to Northwest Sichuan Plateau. As early as the Neolithic Age, Dayi County was colonized by human beings, and the county system was established in the Tang Dynasty in 67 1 with a history of more than 300 years. Yang Sheng 'an, the top scholar in Ming Dynasty, praised him as "Wang Xian of Shu". During the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period, Dayi County belonged to pre-Shu in 19 (907-926), post-Tang in 9 (925-933) and post-Shu in 32 (934-965). 1May, 983, Wenjiang was abolished and Dayi County was placed under the jurisdiction of Chengdu.
