Bole City is located in the northwest of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. Bole borders Kazakhstan with a total length of 95 kilometers and is 524 kilometers away from Urumqi, the capital of the autonomous region. It is an important open city along the border in western China and the bridgehead of the second Eurasian continental bridge.
Bole is a multi-ethnic gathering area, with 35 ethnic groups including Mongolia, Han, Uygur, Kazak and Hui.
