1999 the fourth session of the 13th people's congress of Zhanhua county passed a resolution, and the winter jujube tree was designated as the county tree, and 10 3 was designated as the winter jujube festival. At present, Zhanhua Winter Jujube Festival has been successfully held for 13 sessions. Xiawa Town, the origin and main producing area of Zhanhua Dongzao, takes "taste Zhanhua Dongzao, experience farm customs and enjoy natural leisure" as the theme, takes the scenic spots of Dongzao dense planting picking garden as the main body, supplemented by the surrounding characteristic natural and cultural landscape, and takes "the first line" (Pingyu Reservoir Park-Dongzao Research Institute-Zhangwanghe Branch-Wuli Dongzao dense planting corridor. Rich scenic spots, criss-crossing, winding, set tourism, learning, appreciation, play, picking and fun in one. Zhanhua Dongzao eco-tourism zone and Zhanhua Dongzao tourism demonstration zone, which are mainly developed and constructed, are the picking areas of eco-tourism zones. The main functions of the scenic spot are family recreation of jujube farmers, participation in experience picking and fruit appreciation. There are jujube garden trail, orchard tour, farmhouse community, jujube pavilion, jujube observation deck and other scenes in the park. From June 5438 to October 2005 10, it was rated as a national "AAA-level tourist area" by the National Tourism Administration. In July, 2006, it was rated as a demonstration site of agricultural tourism in Shandong Province.
