Huamei village Shen Shi ancestral hall
There are more than 50 ancestral halls in Shen Shi, Huamei Village, Caitang Town, Chaozhou City, Guangdong Province. The Shen Shi family in this village moved from Gushi County to Fujian and then from Fujian. There is only one ancestor who migrated, and there are more than 9,000 people who have continued to this day. The ancestral halls in this village not only have ancestral halls, but also have different ancestral halls in later branches. This has formed a village with more than 50 ancestral halls under the surname. This was learned by Mr. Wei Huaixi, Executive President of Genealogy Committee of Henan Surname Culture Research Association, when he was invited to inspect (2065438+July 28th, 2003).

Chaoan Huamei Shenshi originated in today's Henan and Anhui provinces. In the Spring and Autumn Period, after Shen was destroyed by Cai, Ji Zi's descendants fled to Chu, and his grandson Shen Yinxu lived in seclusion at the beginning of Zero Mountain and later became Sakima.

Although the population of Chaoshan Shen Shi is not in the forefront of surnames, it has its own characteristics. Every village inhabited by Shen people should have a Wude Temple, where two statues are enshrined: one is a military commander wearing armor, and the other is a gentle civilian. This small shrine is dedicated only to the military commander, that is, Shen Shi, the founder of Juck Zhang, and Shen Yong, the Ministry of Peace.
