Dangshan county has a profound cultural heritage and a wide variety of folk arts, among which suona art is the most representative. According to textual research, suona was widely circulated in Zheng De in Ming Dynasty (A.D. 1506- 152 1). In the Ming Dynasty, Wang Qing wrote "trumpet, suona, ditty, big tune ..." in the word "Mr. Wang Xilou's Yuefu Feitian". The popularity of suona in Dangshan County has a long history. According to historical records, Zhu Zaiyu, the great-grandson of Zhu Yuanzhang, the ninth emperor of the Ming Dynasty, loved suona very much. He gave up his rich life, went deep into the folk suona team, devoted himself to the excavation and arrangement of folk music, and successively wrote a number of monographs on temperament, such as The Complete Collection of Music, On Music and Lv Zheng. Later, some suona artists who passed by Professor Zhu Zaiyu, together with the refugees displaced by the Yellow River flood, moved to Dangshan County to settle down, and the suona in Dangshan County developed and prospered.
