Feifengshan
1 There is a Feng Fei in the northwest mountainous area, which is 2 1 km away from Dayi County. This mountain is absolutely amazing. There is a pharmacist rock on Feng Fei Mountain. There are 15 caves and 35 niches on the rock, and there are more than 1000 large and small cliff statues. According to textual research, Yaoshiyan Grottoes were built in Kaicheng in the late Tang Dynasty, more than 1000 years ago, more than 60 years earlier than Dazu Grottoes in Sichuan, which was built in 892. This is a rare sculpture of the Tang Dynasty. But most of the treasures of this art are little known.
Located in Pingxi Town, Yuping County, 2 kilometers west of the county seat. Its peaks are clustered together, and there is a towering peak in the middle, with its wings spread out, like a phoenix spreading its wings and flying in the clouds. The trees on the mountain are lush, the bamboo forest is hidden, the left lower stone wall is cut, the waterfall and spring are flying white, and the Luo River flows around its mountain, which is beautiful. At the foot of the mountain, there is a flying phoenix bridge across the pheasant river.
Yaoshiyan Grottoes
Why did this pharmacist rock appear in the mountains? It turns out that this area has been rich in Chinese herbal medicines since ancient times, and the locals rely more on the income of Chinese herbal medicines to dress and eat. Therefore, the pharmacist Buddha has a great influence in the local area. Eucommia ulmoides, Magnolia Officinalis, Cortex Phellodendri and other Chinese herbal medicines are planted around Yaoshiyan. Xie Yuan Town, where Feifengshan is located, is now a veritable "hometown of Chinese medicinal materials". Precious "Sanmu" medicinal materials (Eucommia ulmoides Oliv., Magnolia Officinalis, Cortex Phellodendri), Rhizoma Coptidis, Rhizoma Gastrodiae, as well as red plum and Ginkgo biloba, are all over the mountains, and the scale of Chinese medicinal materials is more than 30,000 mu.
Location: Yaoshiyan Grottoes, located in Feifeng Mountain, 2 1 km northwest of Dayi County, Chengdu, Sichuan Province, has a strange peak. There are fifteen caves and thirty-five niches on the rock, and there are more than one thousand cliff statues. According to research, Yaoshiyan Grottoes were built in Kaicheng two years at the end of the Tang Dynasty, more than 1,000 years ago, more than 60 years earlier than Dazu Grottoes built in 892. It is a rare sculpture in the Tang Dynasty. But most of the treasures of this art are little known.
In the area of Feifengshan in Dayi County, Sichuan Province, a gripping legend has been passed down from generation to generation by villagers: a long time ago, two masons and apprentices agreed to dig two caves in the same night, the pharmacist and the Buddha. Unexpectedly, in the middle of the night, the apprentice found that the progress of his project was far behind that of Master, and his artistic attainments were hard to match with Master, so he pretended to crow and disturb Master. This call doesn't matter, causing village chickens to crow and shake the valley. Master mistakenly thought that it was almost dawn, so he hurriedly stopped work and left, leaving two unfinished Buddha statues. The next morning, the villagers were surprised to see the statues in Manshan Grottoes, thinking that they were carved by immortals.
If you drive, start from Chengdu, go along Chengdu-Wen Qiong Expressway to Dayi County, reach the county seat, go along Dashuang Highway, leave Lijiang Town, reach Gaoba Village, and get to the foot of Feifeng Mountain.
Feifengshan is a hilly area at the junction of Qionglai Mountain and Chengdu Plain, 2 1 km away from Dayi County. On the mountain road, the mountains are stacked, the forest is dense and the river is clear. Yaoshiyan is halfway up Feifengshan Mountain, and the road is easy, all of which are stone ladders.
Walking up the winding stone steps, I smell the fragrance of green trees and grass in the mountains. After more than 30 minutes of trekking, the pharmacist finally appeared in front of me. The first thing that catches your eye is the three majestic Chinese characters "Flying Fengshan" carved on the cliff, which was inscribed by Wu Songsheng, an academician of the Qing Dynasty.
The stone statues of Yaoshiyan, on the cliff halfway up the mountain, are densely covered with cliff statues, occupying the whole mountain wall. Surprisingly, the craftsmen who carved these stone statues opened a corridor more than one hundred and fifty meters long on the cliff, and houses, pavilions and doorways were also built in the corridor.
In the middle of the cliff is a pharmacist Buddha with a plump figure and bright eyes. The top of this stone niche is round and beautifully decorated, and a group of flying paintings and sculptures are combined. At the same time, the top of the stone wall of the pharmacist shrine is engraved with the inscription of the age.
The Buddha statue of Pharmacist is the representative work of the existing Tang Dynasty stone carvings of Pharmacist Rock. The whole Pharmacist Rock is named after the statue of the main niche of the pharmacist Buddha, with a total length of one hundred and fifty meters. It is divided into two floors, fifteen niches, three halls and one cave (Guanyin Hall, Pharmacist Hall, Laojun Hall and Huanggu Cave), with a total of 1032 statues.
Slowly in the crevices in the mountains, there are three statues of Su Dongpo, Huang Tingjian and Fo Yin carved on the left side of the main niche of the pharmacist Buddha statue. At present, Yaoshiyan has preserved many inscriptions and poems in the Song, Ming and Qing Dynasties.
According to the inscription "Elephant" on the left wall of Yakushiji Buddhist Shrine, the Buddha statue of Yakushiji was carved in the second year of Tang Kaicheng (AD 837), more than 1 100 years ago, 65 years earlier than the Dazu stone carving in Sichuan. The statues of Yaoshiyan were carved in the late Tang Dynasty, the Five Dynasties, the Song Dynasty, the Yuan Dynasty and the Ming Dynasty.
Why is there such a pharmacist rock in the mountains, where the pharmacist Buddha can be carved? Sun, the current deputy mayor of Xie Yuan Town, Dayi County, believes that this land has been famous for its rich Chinese herbal medicines since ancient times. The appearance of Shi Yao Rock is related to the fact that the local mountains and plains are full of wild Chinese herbal medicines, and the local people's expectation of planting Chinese herbal medicines since ancient times.
At present, almost every family has a certain scale of Chinese herbal medicines. Yaoshiyan is surrounded by a veritable drug capital, and precious Chinese herbal medicines such as Eucommia ulmoides, Gastrodia elata and Coptis chinensis can be seen everywhere. At present, more than 50,000 mu of natural and artificial Chinese herbal medicine bases have been formed around Yaoshiyan.
At present, Yaoshiyan area is still very short of tourist reception.
