Preparation materials: red packaging bag or leaflet, scissors, double-sided adhesive tape and knife.
Step 1: Scissors cut out a piece of paper slightly longer than a square, a rectangular piece of paper. Square paper, measure the distance of 1cm on both sides of the long side with a ruler, and mark it with a pen. I don't have a ruler. I used grandpa Bao's steel ruler, as shown in the picture.
Step 2: Then, draw a horizontal line with a knife (or pen) without a blade against the ruler. At first, I wanted to leave 1cm on both sides, so I used a knife, but the knife was not good. One is long time, and the other is unsightly. I switched to scissors, cut one side and left the other.
Step 3: Choose rectangular paper, cut out a piece of paper with a width of 2.5cm and a long piece of paper with a width of 1.5cm, and stick double-sided tape on the back of the two long pieces of paper. First, stick a piece of paper with a width of 2.5cm where the rectangular paper is cut into strips. This step should be patient, and everything should be glued tightly.
Step 4: Stick a piece of paper with a width of 1.5cm on the uncut side of large rectangular paper. Then fold the two sides in half.
Step 5: Cut out four pieces of paper shorter than the cylinder. What is this for? As can be seen from the picture, it is used to fix the opening of lanterns. The ends of the four pieces of paper are adhered with double-sided tape. Glue them into a cross from one end of the lantern, then press the lantern down, and the other end of the paper is glued to the mouth of the lantern.
Step 6: I cut the middle of the paper, cut off the paper that is not easy to fold, use about 3 pieces of paper, and stick the white part on the paper with double-sided tape.
Step 7: 2.5cm above the lantern is the bottom of the lantern, and the white part is stuck at the bottom of the lantern. The white part is all stuck in the lantern, and the length is just right.
Step 8: Cut the newly pasted paper into thin strips with scissors. This width is arbitrary. This is the ear of a lantern. The finer, the better. Cut it all into thin strips. It takes a lot of time here. Don't cut.
Step 9: Cut a thin piece of paper. Double-sided tape is attached to both ends. 1.5cm. Stick a long piece of paper on the lantern, which is the hook of the lantern.
Step 10: If you do this, you can see that this is a red lantern.
Step 11: Cut out a small square piece of paper. Stick half a piece of double-sided tape on one side of the paper. Roll it up and stick it on, and it becomes a cylinder. Where there is no double-sided tape, cut out a thin piece of paper with scissors.
Step 12: Cut a piece of paper that is longer than the mouth of the lantern. Fold the paper strips at both ends in half, the length of which exceeds the lantern mouth, and stick them with double-sided tape. Fold the paper in half and cut it in the middle with scissors. Cut out a slender piece of paper and stick it in half with double-sided tape. Fold the tissue paper in half, glue it, tear both ends, and stick one end with double-sided tape.
Step 13: Tear off the end of the thin paper without double-sided tape to spread, which can not only prevent it from falling, but also adjust the height. Stick a piece of Zhang Kuan paper on the bottom of the lantern mouth. Stick one end of the slender paper on the prepared tassel with double-sided tape.
Step 14: The red lantern is ready!
