Jianxi Town is located in the east of mingguang city, Anhui Province, adjacent to Xuyi County, Jiangsu Province. Approved by the provincial government, it was formed by the merger of Jianxi Town, Baishawang Township, Guanshan Township and Lushan Township before May 2007, with a total area of 230 square kilometers and a population of 55,000. The town governs 12 administrative villages (adjusted in 2008) and a town-run laishan forest farm, with 3 18 villagers' groups and 37 government agencies.
