Pujin Ferry Site in Yongji, Shanxi Province, a Millennium Yellow River Iron Bull, is a brilliant masterpiece in the prosperous Tang Dynasty.
1in the summer of 988, the archaeological team of Yongji Museum finally unearthed the Yellow River Big Iron Bull, a national treasure cultural relic that has disappeared for many years, outside the west gate of the ancient city of Zhou Pu, according to the records of the Yellow River Pujin Ferry and four big iron bulls in the historical materials "New Tang Shu" and "Zhou Pu Fu Zhi". At the site of Pujin Ferry in Yongji, there are four thousand-year-old Yellow River iron cows unearthed after archaeological excavation, with four iron cows, two iron mountains and seven-star iron pillars standing next to them. Iron cattle and cattle are divided into two groups, north and south, facing west and arranged in front and back. Each iron cow is nearly two meters high, about three meters long and more than one meter wide. There is a horizontal shaft more than two meters long behind the oxtail, with a diameter of nearly half a meter. The weight of iron cattle is above 40 to 70 tons. Surprisingly, these thousand-year-old and real iron cows were basically intact when they were hidden in the soil and unearthed. In 725 AD, Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty ordered the pontoon bridge to be rebuilt, changing bamboo cables into chains and casting iron oxen as land. Since then, the natural moat of the Yellow River has become a thoroughfare, making cross-strait exchanges more convenient and faster, and promoting the development of society at that time. Yongji Pujin Ferry Site, the cable bridge of the Millennium Yellow River Iron Bull, has been playing an extremely important role for more than 500 years until it was destroyed and abandoned in the Yuan Dynasty. In the Qing Dynasty, due to the westward movement of the Yellow River, Pujin Ferry was completely abandoned, and Tieniu was completely lost in the sediment along the Yellow River around the 1940s. It was not until 1988 that the archaeological team discovered the dawn.
