Guangwu Emperor Liu Xiu was born in Luoyang County. His father Liu Qin is the county magistrate of Luoyang County. Liu Xiu is Liu Qin's third child, so his relatives are also called Liu Xiu Liu Wenshu.
Although Liu Xiu is descended from the royal family, his lineage belongs to a distant branch. He is generous, resourceful and cautious. In the last years of the New Mang, the world was in chaos, and people from all walks of life rose up in succession. Instead of him, only Liu Xiu stayed where he was and kept a low profile. Perhaps it is because of this character that Liu Xiu stood on the highest stage of the ruler and left an indelible impression in history.
Liu Xiu has been pushed to the historical stage again and again, and the historical trend does not allow him to retreat. The brothers and descendants of Liu Xiu, the imperial clan of Nanyang, fought in Fuling Township, Nanyang County, so their military strength was also called Fuling Army. Just as they started fighting, Liu Xiu rode a cow. This story was handed down as a much-told story by later generations. Later, a fierce battle killed Xinye Wei, and Liu Xiu got a horse.
In 23 A.D., Liu Xuan, the imperial clan of the Western Han Dynasty, was proclaimed emperor by the main generals of outlaw heroes, establishing a "new stove", and the restoration emperor in history was Liu Xuan. Later, there were many battles, big and small.
Until the battle of Kunyang, Liu Xiuze, who made the first contribution in the battle of Kunyang, went south to attack the city. At this time, a bad news came that Liu Xiu's eldest brother Ada was killed by Qin Shihuang.
In June of 25 AD, Liu Xiu, who was already a "transnational army with a land of one million", ascended the throne in Qian Qiu Pavilion in Juancheng, Hebei Province. In October of the first year of Jianwu, Liu Xiu made Luoyang his capital.
