Lingyin Temple in Hangzhou is in West Lake District. Lingyin Temple is located at the foot of Lingyin Mountain in Hangzhou West Lake, close to Feilai Peak in the west of the West Lake, not far from the West Lake. Lingyin Temple, also known as Yunlin Temple, was founded in the Eastern Jin Dynasty (AD 326) and has a history of 1600 years. It is one of the top ten Buddhist Zen temples in China. At that time, Huili, an Indian monk, came to Hangzhou and saw the Qifeng here. He thought it was a "hidden spirit" and built a temple here, named Lingyin. Later, Jigong became a monk here, and Lingyin Temple became famous for its well-known story of the game world. During the Wu Dynasty in wuyue in the Five Dynasties, Lingyin Temple was expanded twice, and a grand temple with nine floors, eighteen pavilions and seventy-two halls was built, with more than 65,438 houses and more than 3,000 monks.
In front of Lingyin Temple is Tianwang Temple, with a plaque inscribed by Kangxi in Qing Dynasty. In the center of the hall, there is a statue of Maitreya, with a bare chest and abdomen. On the back wall of Maitreya, stands the Bodhisattva Wei Tuo, who is solemn and holding a magic pestle. It is carved from a whole piece of camphor wood and is a relic of the Southern Song Dynasty. The Daxiong Hall of Lingyin Temple is a single-story building with double eaves and three floors, with a height of 33.6 meters. In addition, the woodcarving statue of Sakyamuni in the late Qing Dynasty, which is about 24.8 meters high, is full of golden light and dazzling, full of the style of realistic sculpture in the Song Dynasty, and there are other Buddhas such as Twelve Yuanjue and Twenty Days.
During the Jiading period in Song Ningzong, Lingyin Temple was known as one of the "Five Mountains" in the south of Zen. During the reign of Shunzhi in the Qing Dynasty, the Buddhist monk Lingyin raised funds for reconstruction. It took 18 years to build the temple, and its scale jumped to the top of the southeast.

As the head of Zen Five Mountains, the stone carving of Feilaifeng is an important work in China Southern Grottoes. These statues carved on limestone went from the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms to the Ming Dynasty. Of the more than 470 statues, 335 are well preserved and precious.
Among them, the earliest three Buddha statues of Amitabha, Guanyin and Dazhi were made in 95 1 year (four years of Northern Han Dynasty). The relief of Lushena Buddhist Society is an exquisite sculpture art in the Northern Song Dynasty. The most famous statues are Maitreya with a big belly and 18 Luohan Group Statues, which are very large statues in the cliff stone carvings of Feilaifeng and the earliest Maitreya with a big belly in China.
The Buddha statue is carved to life. Maitreya sat in a niche, with a big belly, kneeling on his knees, holding a few beads in his hand and laughing heartily, vividly depicting the image of "the world is cold and laughing at the ridiculous people in the world" Surrounded by eighteen arhats, they also have different expressions and are meticulous and vivid. There are more than 0/00 pieces of Sino-Tibetan stone carvings in Yuan Dynasty, which are also exquisite and beautiful, and are treasures of Buddhist art.
According to previous records, Feilai Peak has passed 72 holes, but most of them have been lost because of its age. There are only a few holes left, mostly concentrated in the southeast side of Feilai Peak. The southernmost one is called Qinglindong. There are stone beds and palm prints in the cave. It is said that the stone bed is a "Jigong bed" and the palm print on the back is a "Jigong palm print". In addition, there are Yuru Cave, Longhong Cave and Shexu Cave.

Wang Dian is about 24m long and15m wide. In the middle of the shrine facing the mountain gate, there is a statue of Maitreya, naked in the chest, showing the abdomen, sitting on the futon with a smile. The statue of Wei Tuo, the protector of Buddhism, is enshrined in the niche with his back to the mountain gate. It is two and a half meters high, wearing a golden helmet and armor, and looks radiant. This statue carved with camphor wood is a precious cultural relic of the Southern Song Dynasty, with a history of more than 700 years. On both sides of the Temple of the King of Heaven are four colorful statues of the King of Heaven, each eight meters high, all wearing heavy armor.
Two of them are mighty and two are ferocious, commonly known as the Four donkey kong. The "Yunlin Hall" plaque hanging on the Tianwang Hall was inscribed by Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty. There is a stone building in front of the king's hall. Both of these classic buildings have the inscription "Wang Jian, Marshal Wu Yueguo, the world's military commander, was born in May when he was two years old in the Song Dynasty".
