According to historians' research, Baoan people have settled in Linxia, Gansu Province for more than one hundred years. Before Tongzhi period of Qing Dynasty (1862), Baoan District, Xiazhuang and Gazar of Tongren County in Qinghai Province moved here. Baoan is a nation dominated by agriculture. Baoan has its own language, but no writing. Language belongs to Mongolian group of Altai language family, and believes in * * * religion. Handicraft industry has a well-known security waist knife. With the changes of history, Baoan people have formed their own unique folk dance.
(A) "Doulai" dance
Dai Li dance is one of the banquet dances with strong national characteristics. "All come" is a security language, which means jumping up. It is a dance formed in the way of Bao 'an wedding celebration. This folk song and dance is only performed on the wedding night, and the performers are all composed of dancers who can sing and dance in the village. When night falls, the performer of the hat dance is first invited to the banquet by the host. After the banquet, the organizer of the Dai Li Dance said "It's time to step on the lang" (security language: bring firewood), and the host lit the whole bundle of firewood, and the Dai Li Dance began around the fire. As the flame burns, the performers of the hat dance improvise.
This kind of dance consists entirely of men, including solo, duet and group dance. They all use colorful lyrics to write lyrics, which are humorous. Most of them praise the abundant crops, live and work in peace and contentment, wish the bride and groom live in harmony, wish the bride and groom a long life together, have a baby early and so on. Beautiful melody, vigorous pace, free and easy, stable rhythm. Lyrics are usually sung in safe language.
This "fighting" dance lasted until late at night. To a certain extent, performers pull and push their masters while dancing. This is called "roast grandpa", which is a unique way to celebrate, thus pushing the "Doulai" dance to * * *. Then, the host brought oil cakes, fried fruits, hand-grabbed mutton, jiaozi and other foods to entertain the performers. The host also sent a suit of clothes and skin red to the organizer of the "Doulai" dance, and the "Doulai" dance was over.
(B) "Five to One" Dance
"Five-to-one" dance is one of the banquet dances of Baoan nationality. Because Baoan people believe in * * * religion, they live together with * * * and get married, thus forming a banquet dance with * * * characteristics. Dance and music are basically similar to * * * banquet dance, with delicate movements and stretching, which are completed on the basis of shaking your head, bending and stretching.
(3) Dance of "riding a horse, painting flags and playing with guns"
Due to the influence of Tibetan and Mongolian customs to a certain extent, Baoan youth love hunting. Especially in their annual "Duanyang in May" and "Wolf Mountain Festival in June", young men and women carry shotguns and have shooting competitions, thus riding horses, wiping flags and playing with guns in the dance.
In Baoan wedding, there are two or three women in the wedding procession, and the rest are men. Both men and women rode horses to greet the bride. As soon as the bride went out, the wedding team rode horses and whips to the man's village. At this time, the men's village is already very lively, wrestling, horse racing, waist pulling and wrist wrestling. After the wedding team arrived, small-scale celebrations began. They wore small flags around their waists, shotguns on their backs and finely crafted security broadswords around their waists. Then they danced with flags and guns. This is the wedding dance of Baoan nationality.
Due to the long-term political, economic and cultural exchanges between Bao 'an and the surrounding Hui, Han, Dongxiang, Salar, Tibetan and Tu nationalities, the dance of Bao 'an nationality has formed its own unique style. Tibetan dance is rich, and the dances of Hui and Tu nationalities are lyrical and deeply loved by people. 1999, the dances "Give People's Hearts to the Party" and "Harvest Fast" (created by Linxia Song and Dance Troupe) participated in the national minority art performance.
