If you are a tour guide, how would you introduce the Torch Festival of Yi people in Daliangshan to the guests?
Traditional festivals such as Torch Festival and Daliangshan Yi Year are the biggest and most solemn festivals of the Yi people. Especially the Torch Festival on June 24th every year is the most distinctive. During the three-day festival, families slaughter chickens and sheep and clean up. Later, men, women and children dressed in festive costumes with red, black and Huang San as the main colors and mixed with other colors gathered in a wide place in the stockade to hold bullfighting, horse racing, wrestling, sheep shooting, dancing, beauty pageant, singing "Dolo" and other activities. After dinner, every family held torches, sang and danced, from home to fields to crops, singing and dancing, praying for a bumper harvest of grain, prosperity of six animals and driving away disasters and evil spirits. At the end of the world, clusters of torches and bonfires reflect the red night sky, just like "all the stars in the sky have fallen."

The wedding of Yi people is unique. On the wedding day, boys who are ready to get married need to accept the "courtesy" of the woman and the girl throwing cold water and dusting the pot. On the way to the wedding and after arriving at the man's home, there are traditional etiquette such as "carrying the bride" and "giving money as a gift". As night falls, the host and guest engage in entertainment activities such as grabbing oil and frying rice, and sing "Don't shout" (don't make fun of songs), "amoni provoke" (crying wedding songs) and "Kizilby" (proverbs) all night.
