Weihai Port has 9 berths under construction and built/kloc-0, including 6 berths above 50,000 tons. In 2005, Wei Qing Container Terminal Company was established as a joint venture with Qingdao Port. After the joint venture, the business has developed rapidly, and the container throughput has increased by 40% annually, with a good development momentum. Weihai Yuanchuang Business Hotel is about 30 kilometers away from Weihai Dashuipo International Airport. It is the traffic hub of Weihai and the hub connecting Weihai with surrounding areas.
