Liu Bei in Romance of the Three Kingdoms has many titles, among which the most proud is "Uncle". So if Emperor Xian of Han had knowledge, would he recognize this "uncle"? Liu Bei is the person with the most titles in Romance of the Three Kingdoms. Liu Beisheng is a pair of "big expensive" faces: "Two ears are hanging over the shoulders, hands are over the knees, and the eyes can take care of their own ears." But he lost his father when he was a child, and his family was poor, so he had to make a living by weaving mats and selling sandals. So his political opponents often called him "selling children", while Lu Bu called him "Big Ear Thief" on the White Gate Tower. These are two insulting titles. When Liu Bei voted for Cao Cao, Cao Cao recommended him as a Yuzhou shepherd, a state military and political commander, with a high status. So people often call him "Liu Yuzhou". In the Han Dynasty, people also called the county magistrate "the envoy", so Liu Bei was also called "the envoy of Liu". In romance, many people simply remove his surname and call him "Shi" directly. Cao Cao once said such a famous saying to Liu Bei: "Heroes in the world can only be heard by the monarch." These are two honorifics from Liu Bei's official position. There were only two emperors before and after the Shu-Han regime established by Liu Bei: Liu Bei and Liu Chan. So people called Liu Bei the first master and Liu Chan the last master. It is called "Lord" rather than "Emperor" because Chen Shou, the author of The Three Kingdoms, does not recognize the orthodoxy of Shu and Han, and regards it as a separatist regime. Later, when people took Shu Han as their orthodoxy, they also called Liu Bei "Emperor Liu Xian". Liu Bei is also known as "Emperor Zhaolie". This is posthumous title given to him by officials and ministers of Shu Han after his death. Mao Zonggang once explained the word "Zhaolie" like this: "Zhao Zhe, Guangye; Those who are fierce are also martial. It is invisible to compare with light and weapons. " In his view, Liu Bei, like Liu Xiu and Emperor Guangwu of Han Dynasty, was the monarch among the stars in the Han Dynasty. Both titles were obtained after Liu Bei's death.
