Exhibition Hall 1: Introduce the general situation of physical geography and historical evolution of Huizhou Ocean, and mainly introduce Huizhou sea area, geological history, topography, marine environment, biological resources, etc. through the combination of exhibition boards and solid sand tables, so that citizens can understand Huizhou Ocean from a macro perspective.
Exhibition Hall 2: Exhibition Hall for Identification and Ecology of Whales and Dolphins, featuring sperm whales, shows whales and dolphins stranded in Huizhou waters in recent ten years by simulating the ecosystem. There are more than 40 kinds of specimens such as sperm whale, whale shark, leopard shark, gray dolphin, small sperm whale, Chinese white dolphin and bottlenose dolphin.
Exhibition Hall 3: Structure, Function and Evolution Exhibition Hall. Sperm whale skeleton and tissue structure specimens are mainly used to let the public know more about the evolution and adaptation process of whales and dolphins. The specimens include skeletal specimens of sperm whales, young sperm whales, gray dolphins and Chinese white dolphins, as well as anatomical specimens of major organs of sperm whales, and model No.37 of sperm whales, viscera, placenta and fetus.
Hall 4: Citizen interaction area, mainly including 3D painted wall, random question and answer, graphic knowledge, etc.
This museum is the first sperm whale theme museum in Huizhou and the first large-scale aquatic specimen museum in Huizhou. After that, Daya Bay, Dongjiang Aquatic Products Exhibition Hall and Ecological Corridor will be opened one after another, giving full play to the social benefits of Huizhou Sperm Whale Theme Museum and popular science education base, and playing a greater role in scientific popularization and research.
