Yuan Yuanqu was written by Xin Maochu, a poet who ruled Wu Yushun for eight years in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties (165 1). The original text is: "Mourning the six armies, rushing to the crown and being angry is beautiful."
Chen Yuanyuan, one of the world-renowned "Eight Beauties of Qinhuai" in the late Ming Dynasty, was eagerly sought after by celebrities as soon as she debuted, and her fame overshadowed the gentle and lovely Dong Xiaowan. Beautiful women are unlucky. She was first plundered by Tian Hong and presented to Emperor Chongzhen. Unexpectedly, she didn't get the favor of Chongzhen, and was later accepted as a concubine by Wu Sangui.
1644, in the first month of the seventeenth year of Chongzhen in the Ming Dynasty, Li Zicheng, the king of Zhuang, formally established the Dashun regime in Chang 'an, with the title of Yongchang. Later, he led a great army to cross the river and crusade eastward, killing Beijing, the capital of the Ming Dynasty.
At the beginning of March, Li Zicheng arrived at the gate of Fu Xuan (Xuanhua, Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province), and the capital was in danger. In desperation, Chongzhen named Wu Sangui Pingxibo and ordered him to give up the checkpoint and enter the customs. At this time, Wu Sangui was the company commander of Liaodong, stationed in Shanhaiguan. Wu Sangui received orders from him to send troops into the customs. When he arrived in Feng Run, Hebei Province (now Tangshan City, Hebei Province) not far from Shanhaiguan, he heard the bad news, the capital fell, and Chongzhen hanged himself, so he led his troops back to Shanhaiguan.
In early April, Wu Sangui personally led his men to meet the new emperor Li Zicheng. But on the way, I heard that Dashun army arrested a large number of senior officials in Beijing, and their father Wu Xiang was among them. What excites him even more is that his beloved concubine Chen Yuanyuan has also been robbed.
According to legend, Wu Sangui flew into a rage at that time and snapped, "A gentleman can't protect his daughter, so how can he meet people?" Then he returned to Shanhaiguan for the second time, surrendered and rebelled, and staged a unique scene of "rushing to the crown and being angry as a beauty", which made great contributions to the Qing court's determination of the Central Plains.
In real history, the saying that rushing to the crown and getting angry is a beauty was invented by later generations. The History of the Ming Dynasty compiled by the Qing people made no mention of this, indicating that they didn't know about it at all. Secondly, Wu Sangui did not surrender to Li Zicheng. Wang Yongji, governor of Hebei and Liao, sent Lieutenant Wu Sangui to borrow soldiers from the Qing government, asking them to fight with Ning Guan fighters from north to south, from west to east, and the peasant army at the Great Wall of xifengkou. However, Wu Sangui, eager for success, sent troops into the customs to jointly attack.
Since then, from Shanhaiguan to Beijing, the peasant army has abandoned countless grains, provisions and beautiful women (ancient beautiful women are often regarded as trophies). It was in the process of harvesting booty that Wu Sangui got to know Chen Yuanyuan.
