August Bournon Weil (1805~ 1879) was a representative of the Danish school in the middle of19th century. He studied ballet with his father since childhood, joined the Royal Danish Dance Company at the age of 8, performed at the age of 15, and was the partner of Marie Tarioni. He has a strong sense of music and a large number of different kinds of dance vocabulary. Since 1848, he has been engaged in choreography and created more than 50 works in his life. Among them, there are fairy adaptations, creating works such as Fisherman and Bridal Flower Festival. His dance is full of national characteristics, paying attention to men's skills, and has a set of teaching materials that are still in use today.
