Gushi No.2 Middle School was formerly Gushi Siyuan Girls' Middle School. /kloc-in the summer of 0/940, Wu clan leader Wu (grandson of Wu Qizhuo, a famous botanist and top scholar in the late Qing Dynasty, once served as county magistrate in Duchang, Ruijin and other counties in Jiangxi Province, and later resigned and returned to his hometown) proposed to use the land of Wu Ancestral Hall (now the second Zhongnanjia Courtyard) to gather Wu Shengxian. 194 1 summer, approved by the national government of Gushi county, the school was named Gushi private Siyuan girls' middle school. This school is divided into men's colleges and women's colleges. The women's college takes classes in the school headquarters, and the men's college takes classes in Tongshengzhuang (the government office of Guan Zhen Town in the old city, now the first community office of Chengguan). Only at the memorial weekly meeting every Monday can boys and girls get together.

After the liberation of Gushi 1948, Siyuan Middle School actively responded to the call of the Party and did a lot of fruitful work for the establishment of new China. The school set up a student autonomy meeting, and a group of progressive students took to the streets to publicize by rehearsing new plays and learning to sing revolutionary songs. At that time, they played an active role in propagating Marxism-Leninism, supporting the ongoing Huaihai Campaign and stabilizing the Xinmin regime. 1in the spring of 949, the school was proposed by the student union, agreed by the school leaders, and approved by the education department of the county government to implement the same class for boys and girls. In the autumn of the same year, the school was merged into the junior high school in Gushi County, and later became the first middle school in Gushi County. Siyuan Middle School stopped enrolling students.

After the founding of New China, Gushi County People's Government decided to establish Gushi Junior Normal School in the former site of Siyuan Middle School, and to train teachers for the county's primary education by holding simple teacher classes, short-term training classes and ordinary teacher classes. The school enrolls students 1 person every spring and autumn, and normally maintains the scale of 7-8 classes. Chen Weishan (then county propaganda minister), Yuan Zuozhou and Li Zhaoyu successively served as school principals, with more than 30 faculty members and 300 students.

1954, Gushi County Junior Normal School was renamed Gushi No.2 Middle School for the first time. In the autumn of the same year, it began to recruit the first junior high school freshmen for the county, and together with Gushi No.1 Middle School, it became one of the only two key junior high schools in the county. 1in the summer of 955, after more than 60 students graduated from the last junior high school/kloc-0, the school was completely transformed into a junior high school. In addition to six classes in the first session, more than 200 students from four classes (four tracks) are enrolled every year. By 1960, the school had grown to 12 class, with more than 600 students and more than 50 teachers, among whom Ye, Fan and Ni Zhandong successively served as school principals.

196 1 year, with the adjustment of the national economy, Gushi No.2 Middle School merged with Gushi No.1 Middle School, all the teachers in the school went to teach in Gushi No.1 Middle School, and all the students and teaching AIDS were merged into Gushi No.1 Middle School. The school headquarters became the office building of Gushi County Education Bureau, and the school building became the office building of the bureau until 1969.

1970 after the "January storm", the county education bureau moved to the compound of the current cultural center and co-located with the county cultural bureau. The school was renamed as Bayi Primary School in Gushi County, and enrolled primary school students in Chengguan Street School District. It enrolls 3 classes every year, with more than 100 students and more than 30 faculty members. Comrade Wu Dianjiu is the principal of this school.

/kloc-in the autumn of 0/972, the school was renamed Gushi No.2 Middle School for the second time. After graduating from five classes in the original Bayi Primary School, enrollment was stopped. Except for two classes in the first phase, since the fall of 1973, the four-track enrollment has been adopted all the time, and the junior high school scale of 12 class has been maintained normally, with more than 50 faculty members. Comrade Wu Dianjiu and Comrade Gao successively served as principals.

From 65438 to 0977, with the recovery of the college entrance examination system, the school developed into a complete middle school with both junior high school and senior high school (two-year system). In addition to four classes of junior high school students, two classes of senior high school students are enrolled every year, and the normal class size is maintained at 16. On August 20th, 1980, the north teaching building of the school started construction. By 198 1 autumn, the new teaching building of 18 class (three floors, 1994 followed by four floors) can be put into use, and the school has grown to 24 classes with 65438+ students.

Entering the new century, the development of the school has encountered unprecedented challenges. With the acceleration of reform and opening up and urban construction, factors such as enrollment policy, geographical location, campus environment and quality of students are increasingly restricting the improvement of school education and teaching quality. In order to adapt to the ever-changing new situation, the new leadership team of the school firmly establishes the idea of moral education first, always adheres to the concept of teaching as the center, strives to improve the quality of the leadership team, the head teacher and the "three teams" of teachers, and constantly improves the management methods and conditions for running schools. Significant achievements have been made in all aspects: outstanding achievements have been made in moral education, and it has been rated as an advanced unit in moral education for years, and its practice has been printed as experience materials by the Provincial Department of Education and promoted throughout the province. The quality of teaching has been steadily improved, and the progress rate of basic grades is among the best in the county. More than 300 students are admitted to provincial and municipal demonstration high schools every year. The construction of teaching staff has been strengthened and the structure tends to be reasonable. Among the existing 187 teachers, there are 65 teachers with senior and intermediate technical titles, and the teacher's academic qualification rate reaches 100%, and the academic qualification promotion rate reaches 47%. 47 teachers were rated as backbone teachers, academic leaders and well-known teachers at or above the municipal level. The conditions for running schools have improved significantly. On the basis of the new office building and south teaching building, two teachers' family buildings will be built to separate the teaching area from the living area. Campus broadband network has been newly installed, and teachers' electronic lesson preparation room and multimedia classroom have been built, equipped with teaching equipment such as computers and teaching instruments. The class size has expanded from 26 classes in 2004 to 39 classes with more than 3,400 students. Today, the teachers and students of Gushi No.2 Middle School are marching towards higher and further goals under the leadership of unity and forge ahead.
